Just a couple of Crows 🖤
Been back in the Zevcanis pits this weekend and I'm blaming @melvinthedepressedrobot
I admit I really like the gifs of Lucanis and Zevran. This gave me an idea. A warden of mine that romanced Zevram in Origins before they die they written a letter for Zevran to read (Zevran has it but never open it due to grief.) But in Veilguard after becoming Rook, Zevran finds himself bonding with Lucanis, Zevran finally opens the letter the Warden reveals that they want Zevran to live his life to the fullest yes even fall in love again, (the warden knows they have a special place in Zevran's heart no matter what considering what they both been through.)
I imagine Zevran would be extremely hesitant to enter another serious relationship after loosing Rinna, Taliesen, and the Warden.
Agreed he would be extremely hesitant, especially if he starts becoming interested in a Crow like Lucanis of all people, but I'm always open to the idea of Zevran finding love again after the Warden, whether they're lost due to the Ultimate Sacrifice ending or they eventually succumbed to the Blight before finding a cure. While I understand why people enjoy the "never love again" concept and the tragedy of it, I feel like it hits even harder for a character to lose a loved one, keep on living despite the grief, and eventually find love again, regardless of whether or not they intended to open themself up to that potential heartbreak again. Because moving on, loving someone else, and him coming to terms with the fact that he can do that without lessening the impact the Warden had on him or the love he had for the Warden... I don't know where I'm going with this, but ugh it's just such an interesting future to explore with Zev in my personal opinion, so the idea of him keeping such a letter from the Warden —and eventually reading it— got me in my feels. Thanks for that. 😭

Looking through old works and I want to bite them.
Zevran tsked at them.
“What?” he taunted. “Can't handle your liquor?”
Spite chuckled darkly in response.
“We can handle anything you throw at us,” he hissed, their teeth bared into a grin.
In a flash, Lucanis whipped out their own blades, their stance ready for whatever came next.
Every time Zevran took a step, Lucanis mirrored it with one of his own. They circled around one another, sizing each other up from a distance.
Zevran hummed in contemplation.
“You know, some of the other spirits I mentioned before, they too were brought into this world through acts of possession. Faith, Justice,” Zevran listed with a shrug, pausing for a moment to let that sink in. “So tell me, who do I have the pleasure of speaking with now?”
Lucanis didn't know if it was a smart idea to reveal that information to him, but the name came tumbling out before he could stop it, a certain someone feeling way too comfortable for his own good.
“Spite.”
“Is that right? Well, aren't you a fun one? Come on then.” With a curl of his fingers around his dagger's grip, Zevran beckoned them closer. “Let's see what you two can do.”
That was all the encouragement they needed.
They rushed at each other, meeting halfway in a clash of metal.
They traded strike for strike, blow for blow, neither of them holding back.
Now, this—
This was a familiar type of dance. Exhilarating even.
It came as natural to them as breathing.
Some zevcanis for a friend. <3
These two have the slowest burn going on in my mind right now.
