let me know if this is like none of my business or unhelpful lol but I work in medical imaging and I assist with some image guided minor procedures so I am pretty well versed in Organs. I read your post about feeling post op twinges and not so much pain (you don't strike me as the type to get squeamish but if you do - don't read any further) especially after surgeries that include the removal of abdominal/pelvic organs, your other organs shift around to fill the now empty space and a lot of people do report that they can feel that sensation - so that could be some of the discomfort you're feeling along with the anticipated post op pain. Sometimes it can take a bit for everything to find it's new resting place so to speak. Idk if that's helpful at all or if you've been told that already pre-op. Anyways also I have been seeing your posts and I'm glad that everything went well with your surgery - sending you many healing and good vibes!!
ahhh yes this really is helpful and actually confirms a lot of what i've been assuming! that's definitely how i've been thinking about the majority of my discomfort particularly at night when i'm trying to sleep, i've been just lying there awake for hours hyperaware of Where My Organs Are and just thinking about how i can kind of feel them shifting around or not being where they're supposed to be. (sucks that i'm very much a side sleeper and that definitely makes the weird shifting feeling so much worse)
unfortunately the twinges that i'm feeling right now really are localized specifically at my incision sites and the surrounding muscles so i'm SURE this is just me being stupid and using my abs when i'm not supposed to be, because turns out doing truly anything at all requires you to use your core to some extent π¬ but it's fine i'm reining myself in i swear
anyways thank youuu <3 hopefully this is my last big adventure in this saga and everything keeps going smoothly from here on out and the only thing i have to contend with is six weeks of Forced Rest lol
