SO basically, Viktor & Mel were BFFs forever & traveled the world together getting into all sorts of shenanigans. They had Stella (Viktor is trans he gave birth to her) but then Viktor & Mel get into a big fight & Mel takes Stella to where Viktor can't see her.

Mel now works for a royal family, he's The Greatest Alchemist Ever & makes funny potions to help ppl in a variety of ways. Stella works with him too, she makes magickal doohickeys. Damien is Mel's assistant, they're an adventurer that brings materials he & Stella need for their experiments. They're also kind of like a 2nd child to Mel.

Viktor is The Greatest Warlock Ever & moved into a dead person's house after losing his family. He likes studying monsters & casting evil fucked up spells & wants to become a dragon someday. He lives alone for a long time until Stink begs him to save his life. Viktor helps Stink, but turns him into his personal errand boy. They become friends over time though.

Viktor & Mel don't see each other at all but Stink & Damien run into each other a lot bc they get sent out to fetch a lot of the same stuff. Stink has a crush on Damien bc they save his life a lot & also they're nice to Stink & Stink is Not used to ppl being nice to him. Stink fails to bring Viktor what he wants a lot bc he ends up letting Damien take the magickal thingies bc they're so nice & cute.

Stink is the only one that's aware he's basically caught between 2 old gay dudes & is conflicted about who he's supposed to be helping. He doesn't wanna tell Viktor why he keeps failing bc he doesn't wanna bring up his estranged family & that he's basically fucking him over to help them. & since Viktor saved his life & became his friend & let him live w him, he doesn't wanna leave him. & he doesn't want Mel to find out that he's working for Viktor bc he'd get in troubleeeee for being his evil henchman. He doesn't want Damien to find out either bc then they wouldn't be gay best friends with him.

ALSO Viktor got put in a dungeon where they use monsters to torture the prisoners, & he was cellmates with Funguy. They broke out together & Viktor took him back to his house, where he became Viktor's pet vampire basically. Funguy likes absolutely no one in this entire equation he just wants blood & a comfy place to sleep. He loves bullying Stink & causing lots of problems for Viktor.
