A quick sketch of my OC, Zalea. I haven’t written her into the story yet, but she will be soon. 

Zalea

Species: Depends on the person looking at her. To most people, she looks like a zebra. Cutie mark: Markless Gender and sexuality: Mare, Aromantic bisexual.

About her: Zalea is a recluse zebra who lives in the library with Airhead, Jewel and Atlas. She’s the one holding most of the authority in the little group, though she exclusively uses it to keep Airhead in check (Jewel and Atlas not needing any supervision). She rarely ventures out of the library, except to mingle with the patrons of the Pet Shop or to make sure Airhead stays safe. She often appears grumpy or even scary but her closest friends know it’s just a facade.

34) Favourite food:There’s a flower that barely grows anymore… she absolutely loves them. To her, no other dishes compare to those she can make with it. Unfortunately, finding some is nigh impossible and thus, very expensive. Her second favourite meal is homemade bean salad (the recipe doesn’t have a proper name, she just call it that way).

40) Guilty pleasure:She’s an Otaku. She loves mangas and Neighponese animation. She may or may not go to conventions in full cosplay that hides her identity.

50) How would she confess:She’s aromantic and almost romance adverse so she never even considered the possibility. She’d probably be extremely blunt about it and it could be hard to consider it as a confession. It’d probably go like that:“You’re pretty cool. We should hang out more often and do more things together.”

2) Biggest insecurities:She doesn’t care much for her appearance, though she can spend a lot of time taking car of herself, but she can be very anxious about the way she speaks. She spent a lot of time learning to talk Equestrian, and she’s afraid someone will make fun of her. When it happens, she’s constantly worried people will judge her negatively for even minor things like her choice of words or her accent (which she lost years ago) so she stays home and let Airhead handle things.

12) Talent/skill she can’t give up:Hard one. I’d say her knowledge of ancient history.

30) Tastes in arts:She’s fascinated by pop culture. She loves animation and light novels though she barely admits it. Other than that, she’s rather eclectic. She learned to love all kind of different genres and art style. The only thing she asks is that the artist put efforts in their craft (she hates phonies and fake deep artists).

32) Dream date:She’s not the dating type. She’s more into quiet days home, with a good book and/or neighflix binge.
