This felt weirdly out of character..

Her entire stay at Sanctuary had been mostly about slipping into the vampire district to be able to offer from the vein, yet here she was actually sneaking around the human district during the afternoon. For a change she wasn’t seeking vampire companionship, but rather human. One in particular actually. Ever since sharing a kiss with Zak that fateful night about a fortnight ago, they’d started seeking each other out more often. He either came to her home, or she visited his residence, and they would.... enjoy themselves. It felt good. Nadya actually felt like she could escape her own head whenever she was with Zak. Her brain completely focused on him, and whatever they were doing, which was good. The distraction was more than welcome. There were certain things she wished to escape from, and he was like an open door, ready and waiting for her to escape through.

Within moments she reached Zak’s home, yet she glanced around to make sure no one had taken notice of her before gently knocking.
