u didnt offend me dw!! comics names even with pictures r confusing, especially w the supergirl stuff since they all become blonde white women with blue eyes-

i myself am not a writer and high key i dont think this au will ever go beyond me making designs and drawing them in silly senarios BUT i do have a lot of silly comics ive sketched in my sketchbook with the superfam bc they r all i can think abt,,, i just dont post them bc they dont feel good/legible enough for the public lol

Also, idk if you read post crisis, but Kara also went by Claire Conners (to honor clark and the then dead conner) it is the only issue by Joe Kelly I actually enjoyed. Too bad the art was shit and it was in the middle of his horrible run.

Mainly recommending it because I have written many fanfics with both Karas and both Lindas and boy do I have to go back use their other aliases often.

im so self consious abt my dc stuff since i feel like i dont know enough bc i havetn read everything (and some of it i dont plan to read) so it makes me happy when comic fans specifically like my ideas

as for karas name! I went by the wiki to see if they ever gave her a different name bc i know in canon linda danvers/mae supergirl existed while kara was around but the wiki was like "her only known alises r linda lee danvers, linda danvers, and kara danvers"?? which felt wrong but i just decided to go with linda lee bc adding kara to her civi name feels weird bc it defeats the purpose of a secret identity ESPECIALLY bc kara isnt exactly a normal earth name

dont kill me but i havent read post crisis,,, or any of the crisis plotlines,,,, and i dont really wanna- I KNOW THEY R IMPORTANT OK- but omg they read like homework at times and i know vaguely what happens already and how they mischaracterize my little guys,,,,

However i really like clair and highkey i might steal that, maybe her name will be Claire Linda Lee or something bc i wanna keep the LL in there for sillies, i thought abt making her name Karen Danvers actually and using power girls new name Paige Stetler but like i explained in my post w them i associate power girl too strongly w the name karen rn so yea lol

i'm really into design (graphic design & ui/ux) so naturally i began to teach myself how to use figma so i can learn more about it! but the more i started learning, the more i realized i can use it to edit basically everything i do. from my tumblr posts to posters and other media! eventually i found it easier to use than photoshop.

i will have to say at first glance, getting into figma is intimidating. but after getting the hang of it, it gets really easy! there's so many features in figma but i-- along with other designers-- probably only use 10% of that. so don't get discouraged! you can do it!!

my number one tip is to just open a blank file, and just start doing random stuff, learning the layout and what you can do. left hand suzuki method but for design!! (LMFAOO)
