I like you
(I say I'm gonna write one thing and I write Android AU instead. The only AU I have where I actively ship Zack and Micchi)
When Zack pulls away, breath just a bit heavier than is normal for a human, Mitsuzane blinks slowly. Once, twice, thrice, and he tries to register what just happened. It had all started as normal, Kouta out for the day leaving Zack to take care of Mitsuzane in the garage as is routine. They talked, about anything Mitsuzane could think of, because the android is curious. He wants to experience things he has only looked up, wants to know the human experience, and so he asks Zack. Zack with his robot parts and his very much human body.
Zack still has his head bowed, forehead pressed to Mitsuzane’s, and if the android looks close enough can see the human’s pupils blown wide.
“That was?” Mitsuzane asks, voice curious and soft.
“…yeah, thought so,” and Zack makes a face. “I…that was uncalled for.”
“What was?” because Mitsuzane is still trying to register the action that had happened. Whatever it is, it has caused a spike in Zack’s bodily functions. Increased breathing, heart rate, a sense of nervousness or stress. That isn’t good but at the same time all Zack did was press his lips to Mitsuzane’s. It is a sign of human affection, and Mitsuzane is fond of Zack. This kind of thing is normal then.
Zack is giving him a confused look, though, “Really?”
“I’m not sure what is the problem. That shows a sign of affection between humans, friends even—“
“Micchi, that’s on the cheek,” Zack taps at his own cheek, “not on the lips.”
Oh.
Well, then on the lips meant something else. He’s not near a port to hook up to the internet…ah, this is easy. “Then you like me,” he states it as a matter of fact. Zack nods.
“Is there a problem?”
“…how does your robot half communicate with your human half?”
“I told you before, I don’t know.”
“It’s because you don’t have a robot half,” Mitsuzane says. “You’re human.” So the feelings Zack has are perfectly understandable.
Zack grins, crooked, “You finally getting used to the idea of prosthetics?” It’s kind of a subject change. Mitsuzane shakes his head.
“Just understanding you better.”
“So…I like you. The question now is do you like me.”
Mitsuzane looks thoughtful for a minute, and then he opens his mouth to answer.
