I’ve always partially discredited the idea of a “pleasant morning,” but Miki proved me wrong with green tea and coconut milk every morning for almost a week. Not only did Miki and Syndey make every day brighter, they reminded me who I am capable of being, through their strict vegan diet, undeniable knowledge of astrology, and countless conversations about spirituality and the state of the universe, they saved me. 

There aren’t the right words to say what they did, there aren’t enough words to express my kindness, and there aren’t words powerful enough to explain how empowered they are and how empowered they made me feel.

Zaandam – Wat een leuke afsluiting van een gezellig avondje stappen had moeten worden, veranderde voor Jeroen en Soraya van Loon in een nachtmerrie. Nadat ze gisteravond de McDrive in Zaandam waren ingereden om een patatje te bestellen, mondde een ruzie met een stel jongens uit in een zware mishandeling. “Dit had nooit mogen gebeuren”
