People around here didn't really know much about pokémon -- something that baffled Sapphire, seeing as they were very much a part of every day life back home -- so it was only natural that gazes were drawn towards the alien avian. Curiosity was prominent among many, awe in others, but it was when she was traversing the hallways did she feel something else behind another's eyes.
Hostility? Or was it more of a hunter's instinct? It was hard for the girl to place, but this did not stop her from coming to a halt -- causing the resting Toro on her shoulder to lurch forward forward gently -- to address the one this ominous feeling gaze originated from. A boy around her age, of slight build. She knew better than to underestimate one's strength because of their size, of course. Both she herself and the creatures she familiarized herself with were a testament to that.
A somewhat protective hand was brought up to help provide balance to Toro while Sapphire looked Nishi over carefully. "S' there somethin' I can help you with?" A little bit of of investigation to determine whether the boy should be treated with caution.
