[DOCUMENT START]
Name: [REDACTED] Z-Classification: Z-320 Rank: Lab Assistant (Med. Clearance) (Former), LR-P (Former), Z-Class Monster Date of Birth: 19/02/1987 Age: 38
Status: Eliminated
On November 14th, 2019, Z-320, formerly known as [REDACTED], was demoted to LR-P. It used to work as an assistant with the team experimenting on Z-317, but attempted to take various documents on Z-317 in a fit of foolish righteousness. When captured and questioned, it claimed the experiments performed were unethical and should not have been permitted, and was going to take the documents to aboveground authorities.
As punishment for its escape attempt and the threat to Urbanshade, Z-320 was placed next in line for the B.U.P.W.M. human tests. Z-318 and Z-319, the prior human subjects, had been driven to insanity, mutated horrifically, and subsequently euthanized.
However, Z-320 survived, remained sapient, and was generally subdued after the tests. To avoid suspicion, Z-320’s family was informed that an accident had happened while Z-320 was left alone with a shark it and its lab-mates had been studying, and it had been attacked, killed, and subsequently eaten. They were compensated with $[REDACTED] for the loss.
Z-320 was not informed of this.
It had not been spared the horrific mutations previous subjects underwent. However, the mutations Z-320 experienced were less severe. 24 hours after the initial test, Z-320 had sprouted many vivid eyes along the right side of its face and skull.
This will need to be fixed.
Additionally, Z-320 began sprouting more eyes at seemingly random places on its body.
This will also need to be fixed.
After a few more experiments, the B.U.P.W.M. procedure was perfected. Despite this, Z-317 (“Eyefestation”) and Z-320 (“Mes-Mer-Eyes”) were still kept in containment for further study.
Z-320 was especially useful, as it was capable of communicating the effects of certain experiments very clearly. Z-317 was kept in close quarters with Z-320, with Z-317 as a sort of pet. When with Z-317, Z-320 was significantly calmer and less aggressive.
Z-320 was, in 2022, used in another major experiment. The purpose of this experiment was to replicate those performed on Z-13 (“The Saboteur”) in an attempt to give Z-320 similar abilities, and to see how such a procedure would be affected by the previous experiments done on it.
This procedure, done almost exactly the way it was done with Z-13 but combined with samples extracted from Z-317, adjusted Z-320 in the following ways:
Z-320’s skin, in an approximately 2-inch radius of any previously grown eyes, became dark and similar to that of bull-sharks’.
Z-320 grew gills. Testing proved it is now able to breathe in saltwater, freshwater, and on land.
Z-320 grew from roughly 5’7 to 12’4. This may continue as its body becomes more accepting of the transformation, but for now it is holding steady.
Z-320 grew a large, 8 foot long tail that replaced its legs. Additionally, it grew 2 dorsal fins, one between its shoulder blades and one approximately a foot and a half down its tail, a pair or pectoral fins situated roughly around its hips, and an anal fin roughly a foot before its caudal fin begins.
Z-320’s teeth sharpened and grew, over the next month developing a second layer behind the first.
Z-320 became significantly more muscular, and the muscle mass itself became denser. Z-320, before experiments, had weighed roughly 140lbs. Z-320 now weighs approximately 300lbs and counting.
Z-320 has become significantly more aggressive to any and all personnel within its line of sight. This is especially dangerous due to the B.U.P.W.M. procedure previously performed on Z-320, as now it can and will attempt to force lab personnel, guards, or any other individuals walking by to look into its eyes. It accompanies this by moving its body rhythmically, and telepathically transmitting encouragements, tunes, or other such things in an attempt to convince personnel to turn towards it, thus gaining the nickname ‘Mes-mer-eyes,’ pronounced ‘mesmerize,’ both as a warning and as an inside joke of sorts.
Z-320, having outlived its usefulness and now simply deemed a threat to anyone near, was scheduled for extermination in mid-2025 along with Z-317.
Before this could occur, though, Z-13 initiated the Blacksite Lockdown.
When Z-13, the Saboteur, freed Z-317 and Z-320, only Z-317 went into the open ocean. Z-320 opted to stay in the facility and assist Z-13 with freeing more specimens and attacking any personnel that came near in its signature style.
After the EXR-P protocol began, teams sent down were often killed by Z-283, Z-317, Z-320, Z-779, Z-90, or Z-V06.
The second-to-last team sent into the facility managed to corner and injure Z-320, stabbing many of its eyes and even removing some. The team also cut off Z-320’s dorsal, anal, and pectoral fins before it managed to injure two of them. In the brutality, some of the team missed key warning signs, and an Angler killed the two who had been injured and one that had not, sending the remaining 3 into hiding.
When they emerged, the lights had been thoroughly damaged and the team had not acquired additional personal lights, and could not track Z-320 to finish it off.
This reprieve allowed Z-320 to seemingly drag itself away, with the team unable to follow it to fully kill it. The remainder of the team was killed in its entirety later in the expedition by an Outraged Z-317.
It is suspected Z-317 was aware of their actions against Z-320, and decided to kill them itself as retaliation. Despite this indication of potential increased intelligence, Urbanshade has continued forward with the plan to exterminate it rather than attempt to study it any longer.
As Urbanshade needed new subjects to send into the facility, no expeditions were conducted during the time between Z-320s injury and the next full set of EXR-P expeditions. When the final expedition was sent into the facility, nearly a full day after Z-320 was injured, the survivors claimed to have found its corpse surrounded by blood next to a large window, similar to those Z-317 typically used to attack. A small crack was present in the corner of the window and a broken flashlight was found not too far from the body, indicating it had attempted escape but failed.
Z-320’s body was disposed of in an incinerator, and Z-317 was hunted down, killed, and burned with it.
