It’s Qi Ye month on the lovely server I’m in, so you get the last bit of my xiyuan WIP:

Before he fell asleep a thought crossed his exhausted mind, “You will regret this”. Who will, however? That was unclear to anyone except the Heavens.

Three lines as well because I like them together despite their rushed draft energy.

Slashes quickly with a blade

The body sits still in the mud

Before collapsing with a thud

The head rolls over and he sees a smile

In those gentle eyes now losing their shine

It doesn't know How to grow Or to share Which way to go Where branches to spread When better to bloom And when it should bend

It looks around But backs away fast So many others Having a blast

It feels mediocre And a bother at best Doesn't want to push Its insignificant interests

Once again the grail fell and illusion vanished The teacher has opinions! They need not be garnished I am after all but a freak, a relic of the past At least as per the writer's state of the art

It twists and twirls, no end crawling up my lungs

Tightens up my throat  and pushes hot tears out

And suddenly I know

It’s you, my dearest heart

I lost you long ago and yet it feels just now
