Delicate yuuzen-dyed haneri (decorative collar) by Uenaka Masashige.
Normally, this part of a haneri is left patternless. On their webshop, those products are nicknamed [chirari], a term meaning “a fleeting glimpse of something”, here hinting at the fact that in Japan the nape is seen as quite sensuous (like a décolleté in the West), so putting a pattern there draw the eyes.

Fantastic yuuzen-dyed houmongi made for a young craftsmen contest hold in 2007 & 2008 by now yuuzen artist Uenaka Masashige.
First one entitled “Spring fragrance” depicts sakura tree in full bloom beneath a suggested temple roof. Second one is “plum-viewing carps” showing koi in a pond seeming to admire yariume/“spear plums” (or tachibai/“rising plums”)
Amazing yuuzen dyed work for this houmongi by Taiyoukyo, with a bamboo in haze pattern, where each segment has intricate classical motifs (cherry blossoms and oxcart, morning glory, butterflies, love letters, paulownia, etc).
Fantastic yatagarasu (three legged crow) kimono, by yuuzen master や万本遊幾 and modelled by kanzashi artist Sakae
