(closed starter for @divineety​ ) Seriously, what was WITH all these people messaging him that he didn’t even know on his phone? He wasn’t one to talk to strangers as a whole normally, but he supposed with many a soul taking the other group that had popped up to heart - contacting the outside world via phones when they were in an area that was dry actually did make a great deal more sense than them having to re-surface and ignore ‘clues’ and the like just for the sake of getting outside opinion. Still, why message a stranger like himself about it? Maybe it was to get an ‘unbiased’ view rather than the slightly potentially biased view of a friend, or underwater was a lot more boring than the sketchy-ass group had MADE it sound.
