She was a very beautiful woman. Graceful and delicate, with lovely pale skin and rosy cheeks that matched her always rose or red colored lips, all framed by beautiful silky brown hair, the type you would caress until you fall asleep. She had a smile that shone across that narrow street, and although he couldn’t discern quite the color of her eyes, he just knew they were like liquid calmness.
Every night she came out to her balcony to drink a cup of something—YunHo liked to imagine it was coffee, so they could drink coffee together all day long someday, and he watched her from his window, sighing like a romantic lunatic and daydreaming about the sound of her laugh of which he’d only seen the mimicry, how her voice would be so soft yet cheerful, the kind that would clear a cloudy day.
From the distance, YunHo observed her thus, holding a cup of coffee himself, hoping, imagining.
Until one day, she looked back.

“It’s weird seeing my window from here” Stephanie comments as YunHo goes out the balcony with two steamy cups of coffee.
Tonight’s their tenth date, and the air feels just a little bit warmer, the night a little bit pinker, their heartbeats a little bit faster.
“It’s like you could see yourself the way I see you” YunHo says, handing Stephanie the pink mug he bought her for their first month anniversary. He hugs her from behind, forgetting his cup that lies discarded on the outdoor table.
“All I see it’s a closed window” she mutters, and YunHo frowns because there’s so much more he catches from the sight, so much more he feels, there’s no way he can make his Tiffany understand how precious she’s always been to him from just words.
“Really? I see the most beautiful of women, the kindest of smiles, the cutest of gestures, you know?”
Stephanie bites her lower lip but says nothing, also leaving her mug on the table. YunHo makes her turn and look into her eyes, her eyes that are indeed like liquid calmness, and he’s sure then, even though words like “love” and “adore” have been invented, none of them are good enough for YunHo’s feelings.
He just can’t say it with words.
So he says it with a kiss instead.
