So, who was the first one to notice something has changed with Sophie and Wukong? I think Tripitaka would be the first one to notice. He is Wukong's master and believe me or not, something Wukong has asked some advice from his master. Without directly saying he's seeking advice of course. Can't let his ego burst after all. Tripitaka was also one who immediately knew the reason why the monkey refused his Buddhahood but chose to not tell anyone about it out of respect for Wukong and Sophie. He was also the one comforting Wukong after Sophie went back to her home, giving wisdom and advice to help Wukong to control his anger and sadness so he won't go apeshit. Next, I think Sandy would be one to notice the shift between Sophie and Wukong even tho the two tried to act normally. At first, Sandy was worried because of Wukong becoming a monk after the journey which means that they can't be together unless it's platonic. But since Sophie has joked about marrying some random guy in order for her to survive in this world, it made Sandy think that a platonic relationship is not something Sophie seeks. He and Sophie have talked about her growing feelings for Wukong but she is not sure if all of this is serious or what's between them for good reasons! She might go back home and Wukong will become a monk. Sandy wasn't sure the reason for Wukong refused the Buddhahood since they all knew that Sophie will go back home, but back in his mind he had a feeling it has something to do with her. Regardless he has been supportive and if he lived in our world he might even say "I ship them." 🙈 Pigsy was the very last one and honestly, he might have joked about Wukong having feelings for Sophie but that's only to mess with the monkey. In reality, he had no idea! Brother was so clueless even after Wukong refused the Buddhahood and he even asked Wukong about it, but the monkey refused to say the details. Only given that he doesn't feel the buddhahood is his path to take. The funny thing is Pigsy didn't think too much about when Sophie decided to move to Flower Fruit Mountain. She has visited there many times and even if Pigsy whined about it a little bit, inside he knew it was a good place for Sophie to spend the rest of her life. Until he, Sandy, Tripitaka, and Yulong got an invitation to their wedding was a moment it hit him like lightning and you bet your marbles he whined to Sandy and Tripitaka why they didn't tell him (They tried respectfully) Regardless, he was very happy for Sophie and Wukong! Lasty Yulong! He knew. Oh, he knew even before Sophie and Wukong even knew that their relationship will become something deeper than friendship. Yulong decided to not say anything about it because as a horse he can't communicate, but he was there when Sophie opened up about her having mixed up feeling about having a crush on Wukong. That was before she knew Yulong's true form. All the tea she told him was too good that he decided not to say anything! In the end, when he revealed his true form to Sophie once, he gave his honest opinion and that was to go with her guts. See how it goes and try not to take too much stress about it.
