6* Fiora, Lucca and Yujeh - The Good, the Bad and the Pretty
As of today (Dec. 3) the 6* forms of Yujeh, Fiora and Lucca are now unlocked within the game. This is a quick overview of the three. I will address their stats, skills and usefulness in different areas of the game including Questing, Vortex/FH and Strategy (Trials/Special Events).
Rare Summon RATES seem to be at approx 30% 1 in 3 or 4 pulls will be from the new batch - not bad. See here for more detailed rates thanks to reddit - REDDIT RS RATE DOC FOR FIORA 6* BATCH
First up is my favorite from this batch - Yujeh.
Stats: Good overall stats, the only problem is rec is insanely high making her best typing Anima. Her defense is also very good, leaving attack as her low stat.
Leader Skill: 50% Rainbow Attack (with 5 or more different elements in party) and reduces the amount of BB gauge needed during BB. This sounds confusing like a lot of translated LS's. What it does is the same thing as the Ihsir's Guise sphere; after using their BB/SBB the members of your party will still have approximately 15% or 1/7th of their regular BB gauge still filled. The only place that this skill shines is with characters that have exceptionally high fill requirements (i.e. Tillith).
BB/SBB: Her regular BB is a Powerful 16 hit Light (AOE) / Add Light Dark to ATK 3Turns with only 20 BC cost which is on the low side for a unit with 2 effects on their BB. Pretty high hitcount for a regular BB. However her SBB is even better being a Powerful 21 hit, 40 BC cost (nice) Light (AOE) / Add Light Dark to ATK 3Turns / Heal Over 3Turns with a 400% at SBB10 (slightly less than average) damage modifier. Where her SBB will shine is probably going to be VS dark/light strategic bosses i.e. Cardes and definitely in the upcoming FH 9 where we will be seeing several light and dark elemental mobs. Her 3 turn heal is higher than the average turn heal with a 15% hidden rec bonus healing 18-2100 - not counting the characters Rec at SBB10, so we can expect to see heals close to 4k on high rec characters. Her attack animation is slow and fluid making her a perfect fit for FH where she can go first to buff your team for the elemental bonus, and still spark with the characters that go behind her.
Arena/Questing: A decent pick for the light/dark bonus with a medium 24 BC generation on her regular 12 hit attack. There are better choices than her for a light unit in the arena - including Maxwell, Alyut and Melchio. She will be a good pick for light/dark quest levels and will fit in just perfect with a BB spam/Crit team with her medium-high 21 hit SBB.
Overall I think she is probably in my top 15 as far as usefulness.
Next up is the fan favorite from this batch Fiora.
Stats: Her stats are pretty bad with Attack and Rec being the two high stats and her Defense being detrimentally LOW around 1700 for Lord. This makes her typing preferable as Guardian or Anima, with her Guardian form being pretty well balanced in all 3 areas. Breaker and Oracle are pretty much awful typings for her, but take what you get (like me - pulled 2 breakers.. ugh) because I don't really think she will be all that useful in any particular area besides possibly an Earth element boss/challenge in the future.
Leader Skill: A novel leader skill we have here with Chance Random Ail / Chance Drain HP on ATK. The HP is absorbed after your units attack, however it only reciprocates 3-8% of the damage done and only works 50% of the time. The ailment chance on attack for your party is the standard (and odd) injury 10%, poison 7%, sick 10%, weaken 10%, curse 7% and paralysis 7%. She would have been great for the Grand Jelly 4 months ago... but I keep hearing rumors from the developers that ailments are going to become important meta in the future.
BB/SBB: Her regular BB is a 20 BC cost Powerful Fire (AOE) / Add Fire Thunder to ATK 3Turns, it is 11 hits but the animation is broken into two parts approx a half a second apart, not fluid and a little too fast to spark with the people who go behind her. Her SBB is a 40 BC cost, 400% (at SBB 10) damage 16 combo powerful Fire attack on all enemies, probable drastic damage cut for 1 turn & adds Fire and Thunder elements to attack for 3 turns. The damage cut occurs 30% of the time and cuts the enemy's attack in half (50%) for one turn. This would be pretty nice when paired with Darvanshel for Cardes or other strategy, but her defense is sort of sub-par, making her a questionable first choice for Cardes. I noticed too that the Fire/Thunder buff does not buff the party right away sometimes either, it is delayed for 33ms so if you attack immediately behind her, the next attacker will sometimes not gain the fire/thunder buff for their damage.
Arena/Questing: Her regular attack is 10 hits with only 20 BC generation making her a not-so-good choice for Arena. Not so good... but if she uses her BB it is a high 240% damage and will kill or cripple the other team with the added thunder element giving her opponent no weak element defense. For questing she would be a lovely pick with medium damage and very high attack and an awesome-looking animation. I was getting sick of having 10 different teams anyways.
Overall I love the art but I don't think she is best in team for any area of the game. Definitely not a must-have, don't ride the hype train and sweat this unit.
Next up we have Lucca.
An odd-looking character and the middle-man of the batch.
Stats: The best stats out of the three from this batch. Rec is right where you want it around 17-1800. Both Attack and Defense are over 2k making him viable for damage and defense. I would prefer him as Guardian or Anima though like I do most everything, Anima would put his rec a little on the low side though so I suppose Lord is just fine as typing for him.
Leader Skill: Reduce BC to Max BB / BB Fill Each Turn. The second leader besides Yujeh to have the conservation-type BB gauge buff. His gauge generation at the end of the turn is a low, but regular for second LS 2 bc fill per turn and his conservation LS saves 15% (1/7th) of your characters regular BB gauge after using BB/SBB, again - good for Tillith, especially paired with Ihsir's Guise or Summoners Hat spheres.
BB/SBB: His regular BB is a 14 combo Powerful Earth (AOE) / Add Earth and Water to ATK for 3Turns, 20 BC cost... same as the others in this batch. His SBB is decent though being a 19 combo powerful Earth attack on all enemies, adds Earth and Water elements to attack for all allies for 3 turns & boosts Atk - 40 BC cost, 400% dmg modifier same as everyone else in the batch. The attack buff is a pretty good (4th highest in game) 100% boost to all allies attack. I am NOT a fan of attack buffers. Since attack buffs do not add to your base they do not multiply damage in the SEC (spark elemental crit) damage formula. It will only end up boosting your damage by a small 10%. You are better off adding in a spark damage or crit buffing character, or if you have them already, adding a massive modifier character (580%+ SBB damage modifier) to your team which will boost effective damage more than any attack buffer will. The only place attack buffers belong are in extended (more than 3 round) fights. His animation is semi-quick and fluid so youre going to have to use your quick characters RIGHT behind him for FH.
Arena/Questing: His regular attack is 8 hits with 3 bc checks making it 24 max BC generated. Not good but not terrible either, definitely doesn't replace Zelnite for earth element in arena but hes not a bad choice for it. Questing and Frontier Hunter is where Lucca and the rest of this batch is really going to shine, cutting down on the need for multiple teams in Questing and boosting overall scores in FH - however I would recommend only taking ONE or TWO of them at a time, since the elemental buffs are not retroactive and fights that don't last more than one or two rounds wont yield much weak element attack bonuses anyways.
Overall useful but definitely not a must-have unit. Probably in my top 20 though, maybe top 15.
Expect Ardin, Eve and Orna to be out on the 5th or 6th of December, I will have my unit review for them up 0day. Eve, Orna and Ardin are DEFINITELY the better half of this batch. If you're going to pull for either - WAIT and pull for them unless you're rich or a collector. Ardin is a better Fiora, Eve gives a 100% defense buff and Orna gives a 50% Crit buff - very nice.
