Ytterhogdal is a locality situated in Härjedalen Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 534 inhabitants in 2010. European route E45 passes the village

Ytterhogdal Church (Ytterhogdals kyrka) is in the Diocese of Härnösand. The church building was built in the years 1799-1809 by the builder Johan Christian Loëll from Gävle. It was built in stone with a tower to the east. The sculptures in the church were made between 1839-48 by Göran Sundin (1795-1857).

Chamaenerion angustifolium is a perennial herbaceous flowering plant in the willowherb family Onagraceae. It is known in North America as fireweed, in some parts of Canada as great willowherb, in Britain and Ireland as rosebay willowherb. In the United Kingdom it is also known as bombweed, as a result of its rapid appearance on city bomb sites during the Blitz of World War II. It is also known by the synonyms Chamerion angustifolium and Epilobium angustifolium. It is native throughout the temperate Northern Hemisphere, including large parts of the boreal forests.

The Latin specific epithet angustifolium translates as 'narrow-leaved'. It shares this epithet with many other species of plants, including Vaccinium angustifolium. The common British name "rosebay", from the passing resemblance of the flowers to (wild) roses and the leaves to those of bay, goes back in print to Gerard's Herball of 1597. The common American name "fireweed" derives from the species' abundance as a colonizer on burnt sites after forest fires and other disturbances.

Ytterhogdal, Sweden (No. 3)

Ljusnan is a 443 km long river in southern Norrland, within central Sweden,making it the 8th longest watercourse (and with the 8th largest catchment area and the 9th largest average water flow volume) in Sweden. The catchment area covers most of härjedalens, Ljusdals, Ovanåkers, Bollnäs and Söderhamn municipalities. Ljusnan's largest tributary is Voxnan in Hälsingland, followed by Härjån in Härjedalen.

The river flows up into Ljusnetjärnen near the Norwegian border in northwestern Härjedalen, northwest of Ramundberget in Funäsdalen in härjedalsfjällen, flows through Härjedalen and Hälsingland and has a catchment area of about 19,828 km². The estuary in the Bothnian Sea is at Ljusne,10 km south of Söderhamn. Ljusnan is the only norrland river that flows to the sea with a rapids, now (since 1976) expanded with a power plant, Ljusnefors power plant, with 6.75 m drop height.
