One thing about the 3-1 datamines about Midori that I find interesting
I’m pretty sure the implication of the consent form deal with how Sara wasn’t signed yet is that Hiyori had to blow his wish on making the game happen at all. He knows the power of the wish could have gotten him an advantage in the game so I would assume he held on to it as long as possible to maximize its use for his benefit. But then Asunaro was just going to cancel the game and kill everyone participating because he didn’t get a signature? He could have wished for his own participation status to be restored but no, the best he could do was make the game happen at all.
Interesting if he’s so brain poisoned by Asunaro that he wasn’t going to be satisfied with how his status as a dead man likely would have protected him from the massacre. He’s already legally dead so they don’t need to kill him twice.
And it means that when he was being cryptic to Sara about how someone surely wished her into the game he was being coy about how it’s the wish he made.
The biggest question left for us to know about this situation, if it’s still relevant since Nankidai didn’t actually put this in the story, would be explaining how Hiyori didn’t get Sara’s signature. With two Asunaro members in her household daily how was she not one of the easier ones to sign?
And we still need an answer on what Hayasaka said was decided on that had him assume the death game wasn’t going to happen and he could just quietly go back to normal life -- if not for Sara.
