“Even clowns get tricked” [2/2]

Robot doll psychology is something that I think YTTD handles very well. Most stories I’ve seen tend to just have same process of {Robot isn’t accepted at first but gradually becomes more human and is then accepted}. Which while maybe not bad, can get repetitive.

YTTD goes in the opposite direction however where the dolls are shown to act and look 100% human from the get-go and everyone is quick to embrace them, but at the same time there are these moments for the dolls where they’re reminded of their physicality (like Ranmaru removing his hand) and suddenly a gallon of reality comes just crashing down on both them and the humans who befriended them. Causing chaos to ensue.
