I realize you only broke me apart to pick me back up,

over and over.

I thought it was therapy.

I thought I was healing, each time you glued me back into

a vessel big enough to

house your insecurities, yet

small enough to

keep me trapped.

After all that soldering, craftsmanship, and care,

it wasn’t enough to keep the voices out

or the wind in your hair.

You dropped me & i shattered ( & set my spirit free)

You left & took secrets & pieces with you (& they’re no longer me)

But between fractals of ego & disillusion (dis-illumined)

I found myself beyond the point of fixing (fixation)

And I’m grateful you broke me (the cycle of breaking)

Because darling, I swear you’ll find

fragments of you 

without place

outside the inferno region

of this expanding cosmic space.
