It had been an unusually warm day. David had no clue why, but he still drank his water from the bottle Barnabee had given him as he was making deliveries, and he frowned at the taste, wondering why it tasted off, but he continued with his rounds, finally finishing his bottle when he was finished, walking on his way home.
He opened his eyes again, whining softly as he looked around the unfamiliar city, buildings towering over him, and he shifted, frowning at the stuffy clothes he was in before looking at the street signs. He didn’t recognize any of them. He didnt recognize them, and he knew it was too hot to be home, and when he saw a kind face from a man, he quickly ran, though he slipped and fell into him instead of just walking up to him and asking him if he knew where he was.
