He’s a mentor I don’t deserve. That much is clear, the man is a genius and I’m barely a beginner, and how could I ever measure up to him? How could I ever impress a god? And yet, all I want it just that, to see his eyes light up with pride and his lips tug into a smile and his words carry some pride in them. I want him to acknowledge me.  So I suppose I really should stop being late and being scared, and just... Do my best. Because that’s the least he deserves. 

I don’t know much about you, but I know enough to realize this probably isn’t a good thing.
