L!L reader where they wakes up in the middle of the night with kidney stone pain? They manage to keep quiet enough to not wake Lena, even tho they throw up quite a few times. They manage to doze in and out even with the pain, until Lena wakes up and L!L explains the situation and the over-the-counter drugs weren't strong enough? Lots of pain and pacing and napping when they could, Lena isn't exactly sure how to help? This was literally me last night and I would've killed to have someone with me
You groaned softly as you padded to your bathroom, turning on the light and listening to the consistent hum from the light, before your knuckles turned white soon after you began clutching the countertop to steady yourself.
You released a shaky breath as you reached up to open your cabinet that contained Advil and set the bottle on the countertop forcefully when a wave of nausea began to passed.
Kneeling down quickly resulted in you bumping your knee on the ground painfully, “Ouch.” You muttered before gagging, which made your eyes water.
It wasn’t long before you’d thrown up a few times and you were finally able to get up for long enough to fill a glass of water and take two pills out of the bottle before you sat back down on the floor, leaning against the wall as you popped them in your mouth and swallowed them with a large gulp of water.
You couldn’t will yourself to stand up, afraid that you would fall or throw up again, so you decided to stay on the floor, trying to ignore the unbearable pain you were unsuccessfully enduring and the cold temperature of your bedroom.
You closed your eyes and leaned your head back on the wall, drifting in and out of sleep a few times.
Lena woke up around 3 am to get water from the kitchen and decided to check on you, knowing that you’d been complaining the day before about a bit of pain in your abdomen.
She was glad she did but immediately began to panic when she saw you sleeping on the floor of the bathroom, “Y/n/n, honey, wake up.” Lena shook you gently and let out a sigh of relief when you stirred.
“Sorry,” You mumbled and groaned as you sat up a bit.
“No, don’t apologize, love. What’s wrong?” Lena’s brow creased as she tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and looked down at you, concern plastered on her face.
“The pain I’ve been having is from a kidney stone and the Advils I took aren’t enough,” You sighed and leaned your head back on the wall, still looking at Lena.
Lena bit her lip and nodded pensively as you continued to talk, and she listened to you explain that you’d had knowledge of what your pain was coming from but you’d probably assumed it would go away, which is why you hadn’t told her.
“Okay, what have you been doing to try and get rid of it before now?” Lena’s hand was lightly massaging your wrist, trying to keep you a little distracted from the pain if she could, even if it wasn’t much help.
“I’ve been taking Advil, walking around and trying to stretch a little, and napping when I’ve been able to fall asleep,” You said, thinking as you were speaking.
Lena nodded and you could tell that she didn’t know what to do, “Do you want me to help you get back into your bed?”
“You can’t carry me up there, I’m too heavy,” You shook your head.
“Oh, please,” Lena rolled her eyes and kneeled beside you before scooping you up in her arms and lifting you off the ground somewhat easily and carrying you to your bed, making sure to be gentle as she did so, not wanting to put you in a position that was more uncomfortable.
You looked at her in shock as she set you down and fixed the comforter so you were laying underneath it and when the two of you made eye contact again, you both started to laugh.
“You wound me, Y/n/n, I can’t believe you would underestimate me like that,” Lena shook her head dramatically.
You patted your side so she could sit next to you, “Can you stay in here with me for a while?”
“Yeah, of course, I’ll get you some cold water and some Ibuprofen first, I think it might work better than Advil. Oh, and a heating pad? Would that help?” Lena offered.
“Yeah, it would, Lee,” You smiled softly. “Thank you.”
“Of course, I’ll be right back,” Lena smiled back at you and left, only taking a minute before she came back bearing your heating pad, Ibuprofen, and water in her hands.
When she returned, she plugged the heating pad into an outlet and held it in her hand as you swallowed the Ibuprofen and finished drinking the water.
Once you’d finished with that, she helped you lay down comfortably and handed you the heating pad before she came over to the other side of the bed, “Are you comfortable?”
“Very,” You hummed with a nod. “Well, as comfortable as a person with a kidney stone can be.”
Lena chuckled and got into the bed beside you, shuffling so she could get closer.
“You really are the best big sister ever,” You smiled softly and closed your eyes, nuzzling your face into Lena’s neck as you did your best to ignore the sharp pain in your abdomen.
“Well, you’re the best little sister ever, so we’re even,” Lena pressed a gentle kiss to the top of your head. “Now go back to sleep, I’ll stay right here with you.”
