when he licks his lips out of sheer habit, he can still taste the aftermath of his lunch, the dish far too salty for his liking. he straightens up and sends her a deadpan look, disbelief colouring his bright eyes with undeniable intensity. “you lost your.. shoe? while you were wearing it? I never knew a real life cindirella story might occur.” he finds himself engrossed as he watches her and goes as far as to bite back a laugh that threatens to spill that would give her the luxury of seeing him amused too easily - which he is, really. the nonsense jae and him talk about would raise many judgemental eyebrows. “how did you manage to do that and how dire is the situation? maybe you can just hop on one leg before you find it…?”
“I lost my shoe” Way to go. Her mind fluttered quickly at her attempt to find the right words that gave her an excuse to enter the room he had been in. A mental slap to her forehead plays in her mind, and though she opens her mouth to speak, she stops and soon makes eyes contact with him from across the room. What could she possibly muster that would have him believe that her shoe magically appeared in the closed off space he was in. Instead she exhales out of her nose and moves on closer to where he sat currently on the two person couch. “Ok, so that was a terrible lie on my part. What I actually meant is that -” Suji felt as if she could count the amount of times she spoke with him in the past on just her two hands. So sitting side by side with her round eyes pointed at his rather intense ones made her stir in place from the stare he pointed back at her. “- I was going to ask if you could give me a pretty big favor. Please? I’m a little desperate.” She expressed her claim with her fingers curling down into the material of her jeans with what she hopes is a pleading look to her pleading eyes.
