TAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF - This is a special Sidewalk Oracle for all my fellow Dream Ambassadors! . . I don’t know about you, but it’s been a tough couple of weeks as we’ve settled into Dream Teacher Level 2 Training. . . As we’ve also been hustling to finish the final purge of my Father’s Studio here in my hometown of Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island. . . Yesterday the stress of emptying my childhood home really got to me. . . Which, ironically, is the single space that I dream of more than any other location real or imagined. . . Especially when I though I had destroyed some irreplaceable original sketches. . . That I had taken special care to salvage and preserve amidst the intense chaos of the past few days. . . Honestly, I damn near lost my mind when I couldn’t find them. . . Even though I knew that in the grand scheme of things none of what I’m doing means a darn thing to anyone but myself. . . Especially in the long run of having spent the past two years battling life-threatening lymphoma and recovering from cancer treatments amidst a global pandemic. . . Anyhow... . . To make a long story short the good news is that I eventually found the awol sketches! . . In the end all that it required was a change of perspective and the lucky discovery of a bunch of fallen papers hidden under an old computer desk. . . As for the oracle? This Letraset image was literally the next thing I found when I got back to sorting images instead of being mad at myself. . . Which unremarkably is what I should have been doing from the beginning. . . The real kicker is that I know my Dad would recognize this phrase from the 80’s song Life In A Northern Town by #youguessedit Dream Academy. . . How’s that for some major synchronicity?
