it's not a secret that inasa and shoto can't stand each other

inasa hated shoto ever since they first met, thinking he's nothing but an arrogant and cold asshole

meanwhile shoto never cared about inasa, until he started to spend time with you and tried to drive you away from him, which was when he started to detest inasa

neither of them can understand why you'd be friends with the other and they'll try to talk badly about each other at any given opportunity

inasa tells you how worried he is about your relationship with shoto and that he doesn't believe shoto is capable of loving or caring for someone and that he'll likely hurt you some day

meanwhile shoto tries to convince you that inasa is too immature to be in a relationship, since he's always bad mouthing him behind his back – and perhaps he'd do the same with you!

though none of that drives you away from the boys and you remain friends with both of them, much to the distaste of the two of them

whenever they come across each other – when inasa picks you up after school or such – they're always glaring at each other

after a while, the two of them give up on using words to convince you to give up the other and instead start using actions

shoto starts making you expensive gifts to win you over; flowers, chocolates and anything that your heart desires

inasa might not be able to buy you something more expensive, but he'll buy you more than shoto does!

shoto gets you a bouquet of flowers? inasa gets you two!

they always attempt to one up each other and you'll soon be drowning in gifts, until you finally pick one of the two boys and end their fighting…

when you had volunteered to accompany your boyfriend to the license exam, he didn't think you'd spend most of your time there chatting to shoto todoroki! out of all people there, it had to be endeavour's son, who you had taken an interest in. 

during one of the breaks, inasa approached you, just as shoto waved you goodbye and left to eat lunch with his classmates. inasa tried to keep smiling like he always did, but given the angry tone in his voice, he seemed even more threatening. 

"are you trying to make me jealous?"

inasa glared down at you, his eyes cold while that smile rested on his lips. 

"huh?"

"you've been talking to shoto all day! what's up with that?"

inasa's smile faded, making him look even scarier than before. now he just looked angry!

"i remember you mentioned meeting shoto at the entrance exam for UA. i wanted to see if he was as bad as you had made him out to be. but i think he might've changed, ina. maybe the two of you could be friends…!"

inasa quietly glared at you for another moment. it was unclear what was going through his head, if he was about to snap and yell at you or if he'd calm down. but then he pulled you closer to him and his face softened up. 

"you were talking to him just because you wanted us to be friends? you're too pure…!"

inasa hugged you tightly, both his voice and behavior being much softer now. 

"i still can't stand that guy, but if you're saying he deserves a chance, then so be it… i'd do anything for you, my love!"
