The ringing of Yoonmi’s phone echoed throughout the dance studio, pausing her music and making her trip over her feet. She rushed to her phone and immediately disconnected it from the speakers and picked up, already knowing who was calling from the ringtone.
“Eunseol unnie,” Yoonmi grinned into the phone, “why’d you call? Not that I don’t want you to call, but I thought you were with Yoonsungie oppa.”
“Your brother is a little too excited doing some online shopping with Yoonseol,” the older girl chuckled. “So, I decided to call you. We want you to be the first to know.”
“Know what?”
“Do you remember,” Eunseol began, “when we were expecting Yoonseol, and you didn’t really get to enjoy it or help in the preparations because of the situation?”
“Please don’t tell me those people are bothering you guys again,” she looked at her (practically) sister in worry.
Ever since her brother’s business took off and Bangtan had become more well-known internationally, those people have been trying to use their names for their own businesses. She hated it.
“Oh, no, we’ve taken care of that legally,” Eunsol shook her head, “the same time you did, remember?”
“Thank god. So what’s up?”
“Well,” the grin on the older’s face was infectious, “what do you say about being a godmother?”
Yoonmi laughed. “Unnie, Seollie is like six already. Isn’t it a little too late for that?”
The look Eunsol gave her through the screen took a little longer for her to process. When it fully registered in her mind, her eyes widened.
“You’re pregnant!” She let out a joyful laugh when Eunseol nodded. “Oh my god! Another baby, and I get to be a godmother?”
Yoonmi was excited. With Yoonseol, they were practically sisters. With Yoonmi’s adoptive family being in Australia, her parents had entrusted her to her brother’s care. Yoonsung and Eunseol had practically treated her the same way they did Yoonseol. Now that she was an adult, she’d finally be able to be an actual aunt. A godmother!
“You’re going to be taking care of a new little baby boy in about six months, if that’s okay with you.”
“Of course that’s okay,” Yoonmi grinned. “It’s more than okay! This is great! I can get more gifts for him and help Seollie be a big sister! The oppas are going to be so excited, too! Oh, and I can introduce him to Mark oppa…”
A soft smile appeared on her face at the thought. She looked at Eunseol who simply chuckled at her.
“If you have time, stop by the house so I can show you the ultrasound.”

“Yoonmi-ah, we have some visitors for you.”
Yoonmi sat up from the floor, a little confused. She wasn’t expecting anyone, but manager Sejin had a small smile on his face. That meant it would be okay, right? She exchanged looks with Namjoon who only shrugged at her and looked towards the door. She did the same and immediately broke into a smile.
“Hi, Yoonseol,” she cooed as her one-year-old niece ran towards her. She picked up the little girl and gave her a hug. “Did you miss me?”
“She watches your music videos everyday,” her brother said while walking into the room. “As much as I love your music, I don’t need my wife singing Boy In Luv to my face everyday.”
The boys laughed and greeted Yoonsung with hugs and high fives. Yoonmi smiled and gave her brother a kiss on the cheek in greeting. She carefully passed Yoonseol to Jimin and Taehyung before tucking herself under her brother’s arm.
“Hyung, what brings you here?” Namjoon asked.
“Well, aside from congratulating you guys on your comeback and checking on this little girl,” he began while giving Yoonmi an extra tight squeeze, making her laugh, “I have some work to attend to nearby, and I was wondering if I could leave Yoonseol with her favorite aunt and uncles for a few hours.”
“No problem,” Seokjin smiled before pointing to Jungkook, Taehyung, and Hoseok who were all trying to get the toddler’s attention. “She’s already pretty preoccupied.”
“You can trust us, hyung,” Yoongi added.
“Alright,” Yoonsung said with a tone of finality. “I have to get going.”
“Oppa, you’re not staying any longer?”
“I have a meeting with possible partners,” her brother gave her a smile and squished her cheeks up, “but I’ll catch up with you later, I promise.”
Yoonmi waved her brother off before feeling little arms wrap around her leg. She looked down to find her niece had escaped from the rest of maknae line and Hoseok only to run to her. She smiled and picked her up.
“Unnie!”
“That’s right,” Yoonmi nuzzled their noses together.
There was a strangled sound coming from the side. She turned to see Seokjin with a hand to his mouth, exaggerating shock and fake tears.
“Yoongi-ah, our makdungie is an unnie.”
“Oppa, you say that like you haven’t seen me Yoonseol before,” Yoonmi giggled.
She moved to a corner of the room where the boys let her play with her niece without bothering them. She took a selca with Yoonseol and tweeted it before shutting off her phone and turning all her attention to the little girl in front of her. She spent the next thirty minutes talking to her, playing with her, and watching nursery rhyme videos with her. She even asked the staff for a banana that they could share together. She never noticed how all the members had their attention on the two girls the whole entire time, doting smiles on their faces. Jimin had resorted to taking multiple photos of the two.
Right when Yoonmi was about to start touring Yoonseol around the studio, they were called to go on stage to prepare for the pre-recording of Spring Day. They had already finished Not Today’s pre-recording earlier that morning. Yoonmi decided to carry Yoonseol with her to their stage set.
She walked over to the fake cherry blossoms since it seemed to catch Yoonseol’s attention the most. A cameraman followed her and asked if Yoonseol was her little sister.
“Oh, no,” she laughed, “Yoonseol is my oppa’s daughter. Seol-ah, say hi.”
“Hi!”
There was a burst of cooing from behind the camera. The camera man turned to see Jimin and Hoseok watching her.
“The oppas have all fallen in love with her,” she laughed. “I wouldn’t blame them, though. Our Yoonseol is a charmer, and she can barely speak yet!”
She spent the rest of the set-up time walking around and showing Yoonseol the different props on their stage. She never noticed how all her members were watching her with fond smiles. It was strange for them to see their baby take care of an actual baby. Pretty soon, they had to start rehearsals. She passed Yoonseol to manager Sejin who easily held the little girl with one arm.
Her work mode was on as she focused on delivering the song properly and doing the dance properly without falling over in her heels.
“This is an interesting choreography to dance,” she told the camera while sitting next to Jungkook who was on his phone. “It’s leaning more towards modern dance, even more than Butterfly. Ggukoo oppa, who are you talking to?”
Jungkook explained the 97 line group chat to the camera. She shook her head amusedly at Jungkook telling them to guess what they do when they meet up. Leaving Jungkook behind, she walked over to Jimin, who was talking about KCON in Mexico.
“Our aegi Miya has a special stage there,” Jimin pulled her into a back hug. “Her feature on the SM Station project.”
“Oppa, spoiler,” she playfully gasped while lightly hitting his arm.
“Yes, please edit this out!” Jimin laughed. She was about to say something, but they were called for the next round of rehearsals again.
As soon as they finished rehearsals and pre-recording with ARMY, she went straight to Yoonseol again. The toddler immediately dug her head into Yoonmi’s shoulder and decided that was a good time to take a nap. She laughed quietly and gently rubbed her back until Yoonseol fell asleep. She went to Yoongi and lightly tugged on his sleeve.
“Oppa,” she whispered, “can you hold her? I have to go to the bathroom.”
Yoongi chuckled while taking Yoonseol from Yoonmi. “Take your time, princess. I’m sure we can play pass-the-napping-baby-around for a while.”
Later that night, Yoonmi found herself scrolling through twitter on the bed beside Jungkook who was playing with a slightly hyperactive Yoonseol. She smiled and took a quick video and sent it to her sister-in-law. She was sure her Eunsol unnie would love that.
“We trended Yoonseol today,” Yoonmi said out loud then showed Jungkook her stan twitter page. It was full of video clips of when Eunsol ran on stage after the other idols left for BTS’s encore stage. “They call her BTS’s 9th member.”
“Our 9th member?” Jungkook said in a baby voice while tickling Yoonseol’s tummy. “Looks like you’re trending more than your unnie hugging a few of the NCT Dream kids today.”
Yoonmi laughed. Clips of those were trending, too, but Yoonseol really was taking the spotlight.
“She takes after her uncle Ggukoo,” Yoonmi shrugged. “Loved by everyone. Can I have my niece back, now?”
“First of all, she takes after you in that aspect. Second, no, you can not. Seol wants to stay with her Jungkook oppa, doesn’t she?”
Yoonmi laughed at Jungkook’s baby voice one more time before taking a video of Jungkook and Yoonseol again.
“Oppa’s stealing my niece from me!”
She posted it on the BTS twitter for the fans to freak out over again before rolling over to Jungkook’s side and pulling her niece into a cuddle.
“Looks like we have to bring you to more music shows, huh?” she asked the little girl sitting on her stomach. “The oppas are having less of a stressful time because of you.”
Jungkook snorted from beside her. She looked at him and tilted her head in question, an action that looked a little crazy while she was lying down.
“Partially true,” he shrugged, “but you don’t know how fond the hyungs were when they saw you taking care of Yoonseol. Something about it being adorable? Even Namjoon hyung was all relaxed after seeing you and Yoonseol together.”
“Interesting…” She would have asked further, but she heard Yoonsung walk in the dorm yelling he had food. She figured she’d just ask everyone over dinner then picked Yoonseol up and dragged Jungkook out to the dining area.
