Teledji Adeledji turned his head... and then looked up. Of course it was someone taller as per usual causing neck pain like that! But that almost sour expression quickly changed to genuine surprise and a big smile shortly after once he realized whom was speaking to him.

“Why if it isn’t a face I nearly forgot!” Teledji grinned from ear to ear spreading his arms in a welcoming gesture, he remembered this Garlean woman. In fact he very well remembered her bubbly attitude and even a warm blanket during the cold days in Gridania long before he got the gil to pay for a roof over his head. 

“Pray tell the Twelve have been kind to you.” he continued, now finally taking the offered chocolates, “tis been some time since we’ve crossed paths.”

Khaida x Asahi [Imperial!Khaida AU because I can’t see it happening in any other setting?]

Name: Melania bas Brutus

Gender: Female

General Appearance: Melania more obviously takes after Asahi; straight black hair that she keeps long and often pinned up in varying styles [she refuses to have anyone compare her looks to her ‘aunt’ Yotsuyu], far paler skin than her mother’s [though it is a bit darker than her father’s], and looking mostly Hyuran…until you realize those are miqo’te ears, not just part of her hair, and she has a fluffy little bobtail. Her eyes are a startling shade of blue [inherited from her grandmother Kahzu], and her build is more petite than her mother’s curvy frame. Her sense of style is constantly shifting, matching what the trends in Garlemald are; you can’t get anywhere in life if you look like a savage.

Personality: Mel is a cunning, vicious woman who knows what she wants, where she wants to be, and has no problem playing the game of appearances. She wants to get as far as she can in life, to make a name of her own. She refuses to live in the shadow of her well-educated father and her ‘Personal Medicus to the Heir’ mother. Let the naysayers try to bring her down; Melania won’t stay a ‘bas’ forever.

Special Talents: Mel inherited her mother’s knack for magic. Also very talented with politics and subterfuge.

Who they like better: Mel gets along better with her mother, but desperately wants her father’s approval.

Who they take after more: Her father.

Personal Head canon: Mel knows she wasn’t born out of love; she sees how both her parents look at the Heir. [And how her mother looks at...more than a few people.] She’s honestly surprised they tolerated one another long enough to conceive her; she figures there must have been some spectacular hatesex.

Khaida x Zephirin

Name: Joie de Valhourdin & Maëlaux de Valhourdin

Gender: Female & Male [twins]

General Appearance: Both inherited their mother’s darker skin, and have odd-eyes; one is their mother’s pale blue, while the other is their father’s pale green [Joie’s is right, blue - left, green, while Maëlaux‘s is left, blue - right, green]. Both have their father’s pale blonde hair, and sharp features....but their miqo’te heritage is rather obvious; both have miqo’te ears and a little bob tail. And they’re both on the short side for having Elezen blood. [See; 0 on the Elezen slider.] They both dress for comfort and Adventure, no outfit remaining without some scars from their shenanigans in wanting to take after their father in being a knight.

Personality: Joie and Maëlaux are both warm, welcoming sorts who love their home in Ishgard very much and want to protect it like their father once did. Just...being careful who it is they put their trust in [they won’t forget their parents’ tales of the end of the Dragonsong War]. Joie is the more outgoing of them, forever cheerful and the first to greet new faces she comes across.Maëlaux is a bit quieter, more studious, but nonetheless happy to meet anyone new his sister drags over. And both adore their father.

Special Talents: Joie andMaëlaux both have a knack for making people feel safe and welcome around them, and a head for strategy and swordplay.

Who they like better: Zephirin. The twins adore him.

Who they take after more: Probably Khaida.

Personal Head canon: When they were very small, they did try to trick people into thinking they were the other. Then their ‘older siblings’ Alisaie and Alphinaud visited and that was nipped in the bud very quickly.

“Luckily I can answer both of these at once, because I spend most of my time with my crew at the Flying Chocobo Bakery and Tea House.” Hero grins wide and stretches out a bit before settling his hands on his hips. “My bakery is kinda my safe place at this point, and I work hard to make sure it’s a safe spot for everyone who needs it. The music is calm, the tea room is warm and has cozy places for people to sit and relax while they enjoy time with friends. We have a few bookshelves in the corner lending library for anyone who wants to just laze about with tea and scones while learning something new or enjoying a new author.”

Of course his hands don’t stay on his hips long, the more he starts talking, the more his hands move. The Miqo’te was ever wont to gesture as he spoke, “I feel in control when I’m in a kitchen, doubly so if it’s my kitchen. I also surround myself with people who I get along with, even if I don’t always see eye-to-eye with them. Keeps me on my toes, keeps my mind open. We accept workers from all walks of life, like little Yolanda- the pure blooded Garlean girl that waitresses? Well she bakes too, but that’s not the point. Point is I’d defend her to my last breath, and she’s a good example of why you shouldn’t judge someone by their blood.”

“Then there’s Mimiqa- listen, I’m a space case and I know it, but she’s my numbers gal. She’s also kinda the mom of all of us? Like we can be an unruly bunch of children sometimes. Mimiqa makes us remember that this is a business and not a playground. Jacque is the best manager I’ve ever worked with, he knows when to listen, when to advise, and when to put his foot down as the boss. Sometimes he even bosses me around, owner or no, I have to follow the rules too after all. I would trust him with my life, and he runs things smoothly when my duties as a scion pull me away.” He tilts his head and considers for a moment, “Oh! there’s my cousin Melli.”

“Melli and I are cousins but also tribe-siblings, she was born around the same time I was. If it weren’t for the fact that my mother had me with an outsider and my uncle refused to bed his own sister even as Nuhn, we’d be actual siblings too. Melli was one of my sisters who got caught in the ambush I escaped from, she survived but her knee never healed right. I gave her a job at the Bakery and I don’t regret it at all. She keeps me updated on family drama, keeps my parents updated on my adventures, and is a hard worker despite her pain. We have a special set up for her in the entryway so she can greet guests, package orders, and sit down whenever she needs it. I know nepotism is usually frowned on but I’m glad I gave her a chance.”

Hi! Nice to meet you!Don’t worry, I don’t bite! I am also shy, but I know that sometimes I have to take the bull by the horns and try to take the first step when I want to interact with someone.

As for your writing, don’t worry too. Whether you write a line or 5 paragraphs, it doesn’t bother me! Sometimes the inspiration is there, sometimes not. Sometimes we don’t know what to reply, and then the next time we write 50 lines. The main thing is to have fun!

As for the interaction between our muses… Aria was part of the XIVth Imperial Legion, like Yolanda’s “father” (if I read her background correctly) and served almost 15 years under the command of Gaius van Baelsar. This could be an approach. Knowing that my OC deserted the army at the beginning of ARR to go to Ul'dah then she joined her friend Cid at Garlond Ironworks.
