KSBD would be Allisons’s first time doing a tabletop game and asked the GM for help in making her character, so she was given a classic “ordinary heroine thrust into greatness” backstory and rolled with it. She has no idea what she’s doing at times because its the first time she’s done this, so the GM lets her survive a lot of things she really shouldn’t have. She and Cio date through their characters first and then end up dating in real life.

Cio knows the system and played once before and has a character she’s really emotionally invested in, put love and detail into her backstory, and even paid for art of her... for her ex’s campaign. She documented the entire campaign last time but Nand refused to give the book back after they broke up, so she’s starting over with her character and is putting just as much love into her as last time. There may or may not be an entire book’s worth of fanfiction of her character online somewhere.

White Chain has been playing the same character every time, over and over again. She’s pretty used to the game and knows how to make a good min-max character, so the GM has had to either let her destroy a room full of enemies each combat or put her alone in an unwinnable fight so everyone else can play. She realizes she’s trans partway through the campaign but has no idea how to handle it, so she comes out through her character. The GM figured out before she did and has been supporting her throughout the campaign and everyone supports her.

Yisun is the GM who has been using the same world for all of their campaigns. Their first one was a hectic “everyone is a god” game which frequently spiraled out of control because Aesma kept doing the stupidest and outlandish things she could think of and became their favorite player because of it. Their schedule however is so hectic and erratic that it has become a running joke among their players that they couldn’t make it that day because they’re dead. They are the type of GM who lets the players do whatever they want when they roll a nat 20, no matter how unrealistic or ridiculous.
