I absolutely adore your dictator au! I have a lot of questions to show my interest!
How did Tenna rise to power?
Was he in power from the moment he arrived or did he have to establish himself?
Was it gradual or was it just like that from the start?
Did Tenna plan everything from the start or did he slowly let the power get to his head?
How does Spamton factor into it? Both past and present
Any specific ways he gets rid of the undesirables?
How long has he been in power?
Sorry for the long ask, I'm thinking of maybe writing a fic about this au or making some fan art! I wanna start with the early days though because I wanna kill my favorite little hater <3
Ehehe, thank you for the ask!! I’m so happy that so many people enjoy this AU!!
1. Tenna rose to power like how he did in the actual game. He built the TV studio over a “wasteland” (what he calls it) when the he was first brought home.
2. He had to gain the Darkners trust and “helped” them by building a place to live. He forced away people who didn’t sign his contract and most questioning Darkners dissapeared quickly. Tenna blamed it on “The Dreemurrs throwing away unwanted objects”
3. He was always at least a little controlling, but he always acted extremely kind and generous
4. He always wanted control, and the longer he stayed in control the more control he wanted.
5. Spamton saw Tenna as a way to make it big. Bigger than he already was. He had no intention of being close to Tenna, but the TV kept trying to get closer to Spamton, so they both ended up becoming “friends”. Spamton knew that Tenna was controlling TV World and his Darkners too much, and didn’t agree with any of it, but he needed Tenna to stay a big shot. Then the whole contract thing happened and Spamton ran away. Mike was also aware of it, but aware of much more than Spamton was (aka, the fact that Tenna was killing and using the meat of Darkners who didn’t agree with him). Mike helped Tenna with it all, but Tenna was the main mastermind, Mike never even showed himself to the public eye! Mike soon left after Spamton. Tenna is still bitter and sad about Spamton leaving and blames him like the actual game. Spamton leaving caused Tenna to be a lot more unstable, “Mike” being the only person that can calm him down.
6. He has a tracker on everyone, so he mostly just waits for them to be alone, knocks them out and brings them to the room under his office. Sometimes he just calls them to his office when they’re alone too. He doesn’t feel like killing them is enough, they talked bad about HIM in the dark world HE built, so he draws it out a LOT. Sometimes he gives Mike the chance to torture the Darkners to death. The fake Mikes just end their suffering as quickly as possible.
7. For a long time now. Since Asriel was a pre-teen at least.
