May 16, 2018, Bratislava - Zetor Engineering Slovakia, a.s., part of the Engineering sector HTC INVESTMENTS, a.s, presents a novelty: the project of armored tactical defence 4x4 vehicle called GERLACH. This concept reflects the latest technical and construction findings and experience from combat operations of the last decades.

 Zetor Engineering Slovakia, company founded in June 2000, is responsible for the design, development and realization of a functional prototype. It is a professional R&D centre for development, innovation and comprehensive deliveries, including the defence industry. The GERLACH project involved several other companies from the Engineering sector belonging to HTC Investment a.s., such as Zetor Engineering Brno, Ltd. which was responsible for the projects of track vehicle Wolfdog and Fox as well as IPM Engineering, Ltd., with several projects (ammunition vehicle, field gear landing system, fuel tank or unmanned remote controlled UGV vehicle). Equally important is the experience of ZETOR Tractors in off-road technology.

The key asset GERLACH offers is the fact that this project takes into account the latest technical, construction as well as the combat experience from the 21st century. While a part of the competitors in this segment was developed several decades ago, GERLACH offers a new level of protection, modularity, mobility and comfort for the most diverse types of deployment

Key features of GERLACH:

·         Optional ballistic and anti-mine protection – allows you to configure GERLACH up to protection level STANAG 4569 Volume 3, i.e. to one of the highest levels specified in the so-called IEDs - Improvised Explosive Device Systems

·         Highly competitive price – the basic version starts at EUR 398.000. The price valid for all customers, regardless of the target market.

·         High mobility

A combination of comfortable crew compartment - besides the usual 2+2 and 2+3, it also  offers the above-standard crew members of 2+4. The high mobility is particularly achieved thanks to unique construction solutions and the use of high-quality key components from renowned European suppliers.
