😭 Has a fic ever left you inconsolable?

Tbh, nothing’s left me like....in tears...? But I’ve definitely got swept up in the emotions of a few fics, for sure uh.

@airquietworks fic One For All, None For Heart left me hanging on the edge of my seat tbh.

Your own fic, All That Remains? Goodness I was reading that with bated breath. Still waiting on that second chapter tho

@ohmytheon‘s heroes of the dark???? I died several times over reading it. And I binge read like 20 chapters in one night. I didn’t think I’d find a villain!Deku concept that I loved so much but here I am...!

🤷 What thing that your fandom loves do you just not “get”?

I am........so not about the whole “All for One is Deku’s Dad!” theory. Initially I  just was like “no that doesn’t make sense” and shrugged it off. But it’s so popular and so widespread that now it like......actually irritates me a bit lol

You on both counts for sure! I love seeing your comments on my fics! They make my day! And I love seeing your experiments with your writing it’s wonderful!

Tbh, all the writers I mentioned above deserve one too for their writing! You all write such amazing things, it’s awesome to have the chance to read them! @izupie has def got to be mentioned too!! Everytime I see her work my day gets just a little bit better.

Also for a reader to high five, definitely @sirjanstark, I always appreciate seeing your comments too! And talking to you in the server recently has also been p bomb tbh

💡 Tell me a headcanon (and who you wish would write it)?

Hhhh tbh, I tend to write up most headcanons I can think of...? So this is a toughie for me. I’ve mentioned it in a fic before that I imagine Deku--because of how passionate he is in everything he enjoys--gets really into music when he’s listening to it? And I p much headcanoned that his squad finds out while he’s on house arrest.

No but Iida and Todorokis reactions are perf AND SHE’S SO CUTE IN THAT PANEL WHEN SHE’S LOOKING UP AT DEKU AND DEKU’S BLUSHY FACE IS ADORABLE RIP mah boi

I was gonna answer most of these with more than one answer–but I got another asks with a few repeat questions, so I’m gonna go ahead and limit it to one for each question. That way I’m not just constantly redirecting.

1. Favorite fanfic you wrote this year

Hhhhhhh, I think I admitted this somewhere else before and it still feels selfish to say but generally speaking, I’ve tended to like most everything I put out there.

But I guess the one that I consider a fav of mine is A Family’s Orbit. I know I’ve gushed about it on here a few times already; but I can’t stress how proud I am of this because it’s the first fic that felt like it was wholly mine. And I spent so much time on it…that fic really means a lot to me….

3. Favorite line/scene you wrote this year

Hhhhhhhhhh that’s a hard one too!!! But I guess I’ll go with in Dekuology the whole scene while they’re preparing dinner and the conversation that follows…I love it a lot. I love anything with teasing in general, but that one was just so satisfying to put to text.

19. Any new fics you want to start this year

Yes.

My trusty friend and occasional sounding board @solfeggioninja (who is so wonderfully patient with me love you hon) helped me with a thing that was hindering this fic from starting. But bless her, I think it’ll only take a little bit longer for me to actually start. Fingers crossed I can maybe have the first actual chapter up next month.

I don’t wanna give too much away. But we’ll just say it’s gonna be a slow burn. So buckle up folks. And since it doesn’t mean much if I tell you this, just keep your eyes peeled for a fic titled Drops of Jupiter

That’s hard. There are so many that I really really loved reading……..I already gave some shout outs in this ask that way I don’t give any repeats on this answer. But I also I really loved @ignitingwriting‘s The Deku and Uravity Summer Training Plan. It was one of the first izuocha fics I read. And def one I’ve been awaiting an update for tbh

27. Favorite fanfic author of the year

How am I supposed to only choose one of you????

I pretty much adore every author I’ve had the good fortune of being able to interact with on a more personal level. But I don’t know how to choose from all of you…!

I love those stories too! And also agreed on the All for One thing. I don’t really think that’s a direction Hori would go for with his writing style, y’know? I doubt All Might would notice if he’d gone around knocking up random women lol. Thanks for your compliments! �� You always make my day too! I don’t think so either. But I do actually have an outlandish theory about All For One having a kid but it’s so out there that I don’t blame anyone who’s skeptical. But if Hori does it I’m claiming that I called it first!!!! The biggest plothole, to me, with the Dad for One theory is that like...shouldn’t Deku have idk recognized his dad’s voice? And also wouldn’t AFO rub it in All Might’s face that he chose his son as his successor during their fight? Wouldn’t that have brought him down lower??? There’s no way he would have passed up that opportunity if it had been true!!

I’m happy that you’ve taken ventures and chances because your stories have brought me a lot of joy! I need to catch up on your last few but I always smile when you upload something new. Longfics are definitely hard, but I’d totally support you if you were interested in experimenting with a thing like that. I definitely adore your style… whatever it is. Lol

I just kinda throw stuff out into the void it feels like; so it’s a little surreal to know that sometimes people read it???? And it makes them???? Feel things????????? But I’m flattered to hear that, and I’m always happy when I see you’ve uploaded new things also! uwu

Ummmm...hm. Well, when I first got into writing, it was long ago in the KH fandom. Back in ol’ 2008. And tbh, it was definitely a wish-fulfillment kinda thing? Def made some fics with basically self-inserts just kinda pushed into the original plot. That lasted...idk a few years, on and off? Going through that phase I guess?

And then there came a point where I sort of realized that it wasn’t interesting or even much fun for me to write? There wasn’t a lot of creativity involved in it. I tried writing original stuff with @solfeggioninja, but it never really took off because we never had the patience for a long story which is...what you need lol.

Ultimately gave up and then wrote kinda sparingly. Little short stories relating to the plot usually. I’ve always loved writing when I’ve done it, the character interactions always made it fun to do

As far as my style...sort of I guess. I kind of...like where I’m at now? I don’t really know how to describe my style but I know I do have one. I know I’ve been told my style very much embodies me lol. People have read my work irl and said, “Oh yeah you definitely wrote this. It just sounds like you” which I guess is a compliment? lmao

There are definitely parts of my style that I’ve altered. Idk why writing for BnHA has emboldened me to leave my comfort zone, but it has! I’ve managed to write fics with less or just plain nonexistent dialogue. I forced myself to test out something more thematic. I’ve written a style I’d never even attempted before. And I’m definitely proud of those things...

But I really don’t think I’m quite where I want to be. There are things about the way I write, that I know won’t change. I can’t manage to write an AU, I guess as an example? I think it’s because I’m so obsessed with things being in-character. And with AUs I’m left feeling like personalities change too drastically with different backstories. So I can never reasonably figure one out lol.

I want to write a long fic--I even have one in mind thanks to the Izuocha server--but I just. I know it’ll be hard for me to stay focused. And I don’t want to be one of those fanfic authors that starts a work and doesn’t finish it, y’know? But I’m hoping to force myself to work through it. Help keep myself growing, y’know? I’ll just have to force myself to...plan. Ugh.

Hhh this is one of the days for Izuocha week. The one I’ve actually been writing on paper during my downtime at work since I can’t access any of the other fics I have when I’m there lol. I would give the premise, but I think the first paragraph of what I have here sums it up!

Now though, Ochako felt as if her main focus when in the comfort of their own flat was to take in all of those tiny habits that she had no idea existed before this. She was a studious anthropologist, taking in his every tick and filing it away for some reason she couldn’t begin to understand.

The first note had happened on move-in day. They had finished dinner—their parents had given them enough premade meals to last for the initial week—he offered to take her dishes to the kitchen, telling her that he would meet her in their room so they could get to organizing. “What a gentleman!”

The gallant effort was diminished when she went to grab a drink later to find the dishes sitting in the sink, distilled water inside them, but otherwise unwashed. It wasn’t exactly terrible, but having been accustomed to having a very minuscule amount of dishes until now, she could admit to being mildly annoyed at the sight.

Izuku, in spite of what one might assume from his aim to please nature, it turned out did not understand the point of cleaning as he went, or at least not in his own home. It was easy enough to deal with and she would occasionally give him a hard time about it. “Did ya wash those dishes ya used during breakfast?”

“Ah! Right…” On a related note, when Izuku did do chores, he put on music and sang as though his life depended on it. She more or less knew this from her and some of the others catching him in the act during one of his days of house arrest with Bakugou. But she hadn’t known about the dancing that tended to accompany it. It wasn’t really good dancing, but he was having fun and that was what mattered!
