i look out for red. somwtimes. because. i dont care what the hell captain yelrange says i dont fucking trust anybody else to do security but red. and myself

for sleeping tho we dont have days and nights on polus. we just make sure everythings good for a while and huddle together in a kind of pile for bed

if anything bad happens while were sleeping. we got emergency measures in place and reds pretty quick to snuff out any potential threats

I did go around asking when I was first getting familiar with everyone!

The ones who say they don't have hobbies are Ceru, Alkaline, Yellow, and Red. (Well, Alkaline had to answer for Red because they can't talk)

Crusoe loves to read! They already read almost all the books in admin, and now I see them reading thick binders of procedures. I asked about the books they didn't read yet, and they said they choose to avoid any fiction.

Linen said they do gardening. I know they have their own garden underground, now. Which is interesting! I do see them burrow underground a lot, and I wondered what they're doing down there. I wish I could see!

Peel is weird. I think when I first asked Peel, they said they dabble in everything. But it's weird because their answer would change. At some point I asked them to remind me what they do and said they just cook and paint. When I asked about their hobby a while ago, they said they only cook. I asked just now to be sure, and this time they said they don't have a hobby...

And me, I like to do everything! If I we're to stick to a couple hobbies though, probably singing and hunting, I think I like those the most! I can still sing here, which is great! Not so much hunting, though...

This is a long answer from our entire crew so I'll cut beneath my answer and let the rest go on about their experiences.

My first expedition went well. I'd say I got the hang of things quite quickly, not to brag about my adaptability. Really though, my old captain was a great help. Everything I have learned from my former captain back then has been to great use to my own crew now.

i would tell you what those games are. but im not being paid to advertise that shit. so fuck that

theyre all singleplayer. which sucks. because i think it would be great if i could play games with red. or beat peel's ass in them

i dont know what the average screen time between the crew is. but im sure it depends on your job and how important it is. for example red is security and yellow is captain, which means they gotta be on the ready for every second theyre awake in case something happens. everyone else is free when they dont have any tasks left

[It would sound rough if the crew only had to rely on rations or something similar to it... I would've ate someone at that point! Or go insane!]

[While I'm at it... Has anything happened lately over at Polus? My supervisor's been nosy about the current active projects lately. Even a small update about anything can make them worked up.]

Disregard what Alkaline says. We are not being fed slop, nor have they begun eating people, nor have they gone insane.

Here on Polus, we have contained an alien specimen and are studying it now. Alkaline is on that. The rest of the crew is just making sure the base remains functional and secure. Not much else of note.

To anyone: Is there any reason you can think of for MIRA to hire unqalified personnel other than the virus causing shortage of man-power?

I wanted this job. Now I just find it irritating, if not boring. Even though, I do not want to quit.

The only other reason I can think of for MIRA to employ unqualified crewmates is pure incompetence. But perhaps that is only my cynicism speaking.

To add my input, there just aren't many good options to pick from, simple as that. Crewmates not taking their job seriously, persuing other careers than what MIRA needs, not wanting to be thrown into space, not wanting to die, etcetera.

Not to say death is a concern under MIRA. Some are just irrational like that and will worry about it anyways... Like a plane crash.
