Augurio Finem: Convergence & Penguins
A new lore chapter is available today! Titled Convergence, you can find it under the Encyclopedia -> Geography and Lore -> Augurio Finem -> Chapter 8: Convergence. Along with the lore update, we're bringing you a new friend of the ocean: the penguin! This friendly bird can be found anywhere along the beach.

The Year of Lumen Begins!
The shadows have gone to their regular places as the brilliant light of Lumen shines through - the Year of Lumen has begun! Years before the brave horses of the island conquered a dangerous, winding cavern filled with spoils previously unseen. Lumen would not dare to lead you into the depths of the underground and instead has chosen a sprawling and wild garden maze as your test. She does not send you in alone! As you explore, you will find Fireflies joining you on your journey, illuminating your war and guiding you the exit. If you make it to the end, you keep all your earned Fireflies plus a little bonus to celebrate. As you explore Lumen's maze, you'll be able to find an assortment of useful flowers and leaves within too! If you are worried that you might be lost, call for help and leave at any time and keep what you've earned. As with out other monthly events, there is a limit of 30 Fireflies found per day which can be exchanged in all the same ways as normal. The Event Shop should be updated to reflect this and Lumen's shop has a handful of goodies that you won't want to miss. Bluebirds have returned to the island and are anxious to join your characters. In addition, you can find two shades of Tinguo, Alba and Persicas options for some golden fun. Lumen has three special markings in her shop. Golden Birdcatcher and Golden Bendor use those same special spotty markings, but in a Persicas (Apricot) color. Meanwhile, Belton Mod changes your belton spots to a gentle Alba (gold champagne) color! As always if you spot any bugs, please post them in the bug forum. Have a joyous light-filled July!
An Il-lumen-ating Update: Super Shiny Round 2, Starlight, and New Serus colors!
First up is Curly Mod - a special modifier for the curly gene. When activated on any build expect Arabian, it will transform those fluffy curls into a beautiful shine! Crlcrl will transform into a soft shine, while CrlCrl will transform into a strong shine similar to the “super shiny” of Arabians. Alas, Arabians, this gene doesn’t do anything for you - you just love to evolve slower than the rest.
Next up is Starlight - a brand new EXP Shop Marking! This marking is Lumen’s special god marking that can be found in Catura’s shop, and like other EXP Shop markings, sets on top of everything except Mark of Lar. It bedazzles up your legs and cheeks with glittering white starlight - a perfect compliment to the body markings of Astrum!
Finally, we’ve expanded Serus with Serus Mod. The ‘blue eyed’ gene now has five more colors thanks to this modifying gene: Amber, Gold, Brown, Green, and Teal! Like Tenebris’ new color variations, these are all found on Serus and express the following dominance: Brown > Amber > Green > Gold > Teal > Blue.

Since these are all new releases they've been turned on in the shop today and will be available for the following week! After that they will enter normal rotation.

Keep your eyes peeled though. More fun things might just turn up when you least expect it!
As you explore Lumen's maze, you'll be able to find an assortment of flowers and leaves within. We've gone in and added additional uses to a variety of items to increase their overall utility. New uses include:
Ivy - Add 100 skill point progress to be spent the same way a level up via the Allocate page.
Trumpet Tree Leaves - Earn +1 minute of faster AP generation
Pink Hibiscus - Adds disease immunity for the new 15 minutes that will prevent your character from catching any sickness via explore. But be careful! Eating too many per day could make your character regret some decisions.
Pitanga - Offers 1 hour of protection from the pesky predators that like to snack on lone horses.
Tragematum Plants - Gives an increased chance to fight predators in a battle for 15 minutes to try and score some nifty scars.
Small Branch - Repurposed to increase the security of the active character.
Yerba Mate - Earn more regimen progress when doing any activity that would normally give it.
Lumen's Glowing Light This item is used to help a faction gain double the experience for 24 hours. It'll be found in Lumen's Shop as well as the Chrysos shop like normal.
