...anyway. so it got me thinking about this old idea i had about death stranding, which is that sam is basically the second coming of christ. him, amelie, and bridget are the trinity. bridget the father, sam the son, and amelie the holy spirit. sam, born to regular parents, but in his rebirth, born to amelie, he carries a part of her in him. he is man and god. sent to the earth to sacrifice himself to be its savior. all in amelie'a plan
this wouldn't even be the first time kojima made direct comparisons of his characters to christian religious figures. for example, the scene in mgs (4?) where eva reveals herself to be snake's mother. which takes place in a church. and the camera cut between her and a statue of the virgin mary... also the whole eve thing to begin with. yeah. anyway.
