"Commander! Let's play the Pocky Game!" You went to Masumi's room with a confidence which you weren't entirely sure you possessed. Masumi didn't answer immediately. He finished reading the report in front of him before setting that aside. His eyebrows slowly lifted, his smile not waving. "Are you sure?" Masumi leaned back in his chair, the leather creaking softly beneath him, and beckoned you closer with a slight tilt of his head. "If you lose," he said in his usual face, "Don't cry like kids." You choose a single vanilla-flavored and placed one between your lips. The sweetness of pocky melted across your tongue as you bit. Masumi remained perfectly still, his sharp eyes studying every subtle shift in your expression before he took another bite. Slowly. Deliberately. Because Masumi remained seated, you had to bend lower and lower, your face drawing ever closer to his. You could feel the warmth of his breath, hear the faintest exhale between each bite. As so as you notice, your heart beating faster. "Don't you dare stop." he murmured, as his hand hold the back of your head. Masumi’s fingers slipped gently into your hair, steadying you as not as forcing you closer. Even so, that touch sent a shiver down your spine. A quiet chuckle escaped Masumi’s lips. "Hm?" His voice was low, tinged with amusement. "What’s wrong? You were the one who challenged me right?." Your cheeks felt hot despite yourself. As you leaned in again, your balance shifted, and before you realized it, you were perched lightly on his lap. The proximity made your pulse race, every heartbeat echoing loudly in your ears. Masumi notice and his smile deepened Only a single bite remained. Your eyes shut on instinct, unable to withstand the intensity of his gaze any longer. As though he had waited for exact moment, Masumi hold your waist. "Surrender?" His voice was barely above a whisper. Instead of taking the final bite, he closed the last distance between you and him. A slow, lingering kiss, carrying the faint sweetness of vanilla. "Well, I win." Masumi said with quiet satisfaction in his voice.

Masumi looked up from his paperwork. “Hah?”

You gave him a small box wrapped with a pastel pink ribbon.

He accepted it, peeling the ribbon aside before lifting the lid. Inside rested a black fountain pen, its carved barrel polished to a quiet shine.

“I thought of a present might useful for commander’s work,” you said, avoiding his gaze. “And… black suits you.”

Tsk. He clicked his tongue, a fainted red appeared on his ears but he didn't sure if you notice. “A pen is just a pen. If it writes, that’s enough. Stupid.” though, he didn’t put the pen down. He rolled it slowly between his fingers, studying the carved details with surprising patience. Weight. Balance. The light caught in his black big eyes as he turned the pen over again.

You couldn’t help smiling. So he does like it.

“…Let’s see.”

Masumi pulled a loose sheet of paper toward himself. The nib touched the page, gliding across it in one smooth, effortless stroke.

What will he write? His name? Mostly. Works? Tasks he will drop on me? Curiosity got over you. “Commander ♪ What did you wri—” You leaned in before he answered, but all words stucked in your throat.

There, standing alone, black ink clearly in the page.

Simple. Blunt. As his. Masumi glanced at the paper, quickly recapped the pen.

“…Not bad.” That was the only 'compliment' you heard. But, the ink on the page tell you one more thing.
