While I don't agree with you & P, because I know Guillermo is not that guy, I just want to throw some food for thought at you- I'm a white girl living in Japan. Not a day goes by that at least someone will come up to me and say "HELLO" in English or use some random katakana English. Now I have two choices on how to act. I can get upset about it, or I can realize that they are just trying to communicate. I speak English, so its cool. But if I was French? German? People make assumptions everywhere

I'm not saying only white people are guilty of this. Seriously, my parents and relatives have said some racist shit and it's like no!! That's awful why are you saying that. In your case, yeah I don't think they mean any ill-will, but I do think what they're doing is racist.
I've had people trying to speak Chinese to me too without actually knowing if I speak it, and it's like, yeah I understand you, but damn it doesn't make it not annoying. I don't bother with getting too upset either because it solves nothing for me (and I'll admit I don't like confronting people, or really just talking to strangers....).
And I think you're right in that they're just trying to communicate and have a conversation, but really I think it's a poor way to go about it.

Resurrection Reconstruction and Redemption.
Set right after Civil War in the comics. Well, six weeks after Steve got shot.
Doom brings Steve back from the dead. Hijinks ensue, some of which might vaugely be considered plot.
Notes: Denial fic. Blatant shipper fic. One non-canonical het pairing in later chapters. A dire lack of porn. Terrifying amounts of snuggling. Branches off from canon after the end of Civil War, in an AU where there's no Secret Invasion, and no one was ever a Skrull.
Very plot heavy, in my opinion. This is really one of those fics you need to have read the comics to understand most of it. Only 4 chapters in, and I'm kind of dying here.
