Yarn Thoughts On: Red Heart All-In-One Sweet Hearts Motif
I heard about Red Heart's newest line of all-in-one yarn and wanted to try out. So I did the fiscally responsible thing of using my yarn stash before impulse purchasing new yarn.
I made two squares that came out to ~5.5" inches unblocked using a 5mm hook following the pattern. I had to weave in ends in awkward places at round 3 of this pattern so I see why this yarn was made.
Trying out their heart motif pattern helped me determine if this yarn would even be worth purchasing. Ultimately, I've decided that this yarn wouldn't be a good fit for me
Yarn Used: Lion's Brand Pound of Love in Claret and Red Heart Super Saver in Soft White
Yarn Thoughts On: Lily's Sugar'n Cream Scrub Off Yarn
Yarn Composition: Worsted Weight 100% Cotton in the color-way Deep Turquoise Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Stars. Not a bad novelty yarn, worth the price in my opinion. I'm in no rush to buy more for myself, but if someone gifted it to me I wouldn't be mad. Full thoughts below.

Spinster thoughts
When I look at wool roving, I see the void. Roving is possibility, but it’s nothing yet. It’s pre-stuff, cut from its source and waiting for creation. Leave it too long and it becomes felt, shapeless and useless for most things. Roving craves order.
Spinning is pulling order out of the void, reaching into the void and allowing creativity to flow from it. It’s using your creative mind to make that nothing into something.
You know, the term ‘spinster’ just refers to a person who spins. It has nothing to do with marital status... except that a woman without a loom would be stuck spinning thread without ever weaving it. And an unwed woman? Probs has trouble affording a loom.

Last night, I had a dream about you
except, by "you" and "dream about" I mean, I had a terrible allergic reaction to some mystery thing and became slowly covered in hives. And by last night, I mean midnight. It was midnight when I was just about to fall asleep. My thumbs are still swollen. Twelve hours later and I still have weird ass swollen thumbs. In yarnie news, I am working on my glove project. If this attempt falls through, I will need some serious pick me up for my crafty-self-esteem. I am even taking excessive breaks like I always do when I'm afraid to work on something I think I will fuck up. If these aren't functional, if the design is so weird and uneven that they don't keep his hands warm, he won't wear them and I'll have to start over again. AGAIN. AND AGAIN. AND AGAIN. The never ending glove project. He will have cold hands forever and I will have a million pairs of wonky non-gloves.
There is nothing nicer than curling up on a rainy day with a pile of yarn and a cup of tea <3
