Arthur was deeply aware of the feel of Merlin’s body pinned underneath his own. Of how Merlin’s warm breath brushed his face as the sorcerer gasped and met Arthur’s lighter blue eyes with his darker ones. 

Merlin’s kissable lips—objectively speaking! It was not like Arthur wanted to kiss Merlin—parted slightly. His wide blue eyes stared up into Arthur’s own. Arthur suddenly felt very warm. It was ridiculously hot in this cave. Merlin had to be feeling it too, judging by how red his face was turning, just inches beneath Arthur’s own.
