ryu was a powerful mage that was good friends with both diamond and ringo, as well as the former’s luminara. during the horrific events of 2864th waifu war, she grew to resent the wars that had defined the realm and the way they kept cyberia from prospering. ryu vowed to put a stop to the endless cycle of suffering caused by the waifu wars, considering it her burden of enlightenment. she began hunting champions one by one until she was caught by the world government. she was taken in for questioning by yokubou, who then promised her the dream she’d been pursuing should she form a contract with her. relationships 👥 ➤ suishou — “diamond”

ryu met a listless diamond in yanjade shortly after she’d lost the crystallis grand aria and left harmonia prismatica. diamond was unsure of what to do with her life when ryu recognized her enlightenment and suggested they join the 2864th waifu war together. she knew that with diamond by her side, she’d definitely become sovereign of cyberia. ryu considered it the duty of her enlightenment to nurture the ignorant.

after realizing just how harmful the wars were on imanity, she realized that becoming sovereign of cyberia wouldn’t fix the issue since she could always be replaced when the next war came around. it was then she decided that wars needed to end altogether. diamond tried to stop her, but she already decided that diamond had grown ignorant to the enlightenment she was blessed with and was not interested in what her former luminara had to say on the matter.

after becoming yokubou’s pawn, the two meet again when the despair desire alliance was using her as bait to lure out diamond. after the two exchange some bitter words, they end up in a fight that results in ryu’s death. to ensure that the despair desire alliance didn’t use ryu’s womb for TAIZOKAI, she made sure to stab it multiple times with ryu’s own sai (since she fights barehanded.) diamond then realized that she couldn’t use KONGOKAI without TAIZOKAI… so she ate ryu’s womb.
