To be honest, in the long run, I feel like it's a net negative?

Pendulum, I honestly believe were a mistake, and whatever input Editor Aikawa had over the mechanic, probably was also a net negative, especially if it led to the immortality gimmick (the whole interacting with the Extra Deck I feel was an idiot move, and the scales should of matched the highest summonable level, as I've always had trouble explaining those parts to normies)

I also think Shaddoll, Tellarknight and Yang Zing over juiced the power level of average cards way too high as a part of the ongoing power spike after Shadow Specters having modern Cyberdark Impact sales. The introduction of Auto-Correction mechanics was generally a net negative.

I also think Burning Abyss for the TCG set unnatural standards of what players was to be expected of World Premiere themes and their power Levels, and every World Premiere has been unfairly scaled against them.

Also, Aria the Melodious Diva being created to introduce a lock the anime didn't intend also wasn't great either, as that card basically prevented Melodious from getting support for 10 years.
