I would like your opinion on something! So for the chain by themselves, we know at least some of them (cough cough Time and Twilight cough cough) are family oriented and want to have their own with kids, right? And even more so for yandere chain. Because a baby would just bind you guys together even more, right? But like⦠what if darling canāt/wont have kids?
I was writing when that thought occurred to me. I was trying my hand at yandere stuff myself. My OC has severe trauma related to pregnancy that ended in the death of her only child. So she turned off her ability to conceive (magic~) and made the decision to never have another child. (Iād like to say that sheās an amazing aunt/godmother tho.)
So yeah, from the yandere Chains pov⦠how would they react to their darling not wanting/canāt have children? Especially if it was trauma related?
AHHH OMG TOTALLY!! This is actually a really cool concept and I got almost a little too into it with the whole yandere dynamic. Itās been so long since iāve made any yan! content, so I hope itās good by you :]
Synopsis: Yan!Chainās darling doesnāt want kids and they all deal with this in their own varying *totally* normal ways.
warnings nā such: Cringe links, Yandere, mentions of murder, light baby trapping, use of trauma as ammo, potentially disturbing content
You see, the best thing about Yanderes is that their top priority is and always will be their darling. You want steak for dinner? Heāll kill the cattle. You want a house? Heāll fell the trees, cut the lumber, build you a house that they know all the hiding spots. You want a family? Youāll have however many kiddos you want running around, giggling as they weave through your feet.
Of course, naturally, the family life is what most Yanderes want because it gives them control. It gives them an opportunity to show how good they are. To flaunt their happy family to the world, to obsess over being the perfect lover and parent, to show you just how good they are.
And You canāt exactly leave (at least not easily) once you have a family. And especially not when everyone knows youāre the lucky spouse to the hero.
So flipping this dynamic to where this isnāt the case definitely complicates things a little. I see things splitting in a few ways depending on what their darling is comfortable with⦠at least with some varying degrees (given that some yan!links are bound to be more controlling than others) Still, at the end of the cycle, itās your word that they hang onto as gospel
Pseudo adoption
(Twilight, Sky, Time, Legend, Warriors, Courage, Koridai, Mayybe Four)
This would ideally be in the situation where their lover is either healed from their trauma to the point theyāre comfortable being close with children. This is either being the village babysitters, or just flat out picking up a child off the side of the road to, *ahem*, āfosterā until they find a home. (Yeah that child is not leaving.)
The whole idea behind this one is more for the yandereās own self assurance that he is of service to and close to you. He is the image of a doting husband and father, waiting at your beck and call, hand and foot, every syllable of every word, to make sure that you are content and not leaving. Itās more for himself and for the perception of being your one and only rather than actual care for whatever it is youāre looking after.
Maybe, in some fucked up way, he doesnāt care as much because the kiddos arenāt his, and doesnāt have that same weight tying you down. But thatās depending on just how dark weāre making our yanderes.
Iām really extreme, fixated cases, I can imagine them going off the rails and flat out killing the parents of some child you felt close with so he could swoop in and have a perfect happy family. I only really see this for Twilight and Time, though, and maybe Sky if heās at his limit.
Fur babies
(Wild, Legend, Sky, Time, Twilight, Maybe Hyrule)
As the name implies, you are now the owner of several dogs/cats/birds/snakes/lizards/horsies/ordonian goats. Slightly different than lightly kidnapping children, this one is a little more involved than simply babysitting. Where the last solution focuses more on the yandereās own need to prove his worth to you and the perceived family to othersā this is more in alignment with him trying to actually foster a family relationship in some sort of way.
He canāt raise a child, but you both to love and care for some amount and form of animal, and you bet your ASS that pet will be the best cared for. Pampered. Best food, brushed daily, best bedding, all the pets, you name it. Vicariously, that pet will become the closest thing to a child you can effectively think of to fill any voids left behind in his heart.
Heās also not naĆÆve to the fact that a pet is something youāre emotionally attached to, and thus has value.
It makes you happy, it keeps you around, and it makes you a team.
An animal makes it harder for you to leave.
And on top of that, the idea that itās valuable because of your attachment to it opens the door to the idea which that pet also doesnāt matter to the yandere in question. He only keeps it around because it amuses you, even if he doesnāt see why. Afterall, he only loves his Darling.
But again, thatās darker au and stuff you take as you please.
I personally left this to the most possessive of the yanderes or the ones who I would imagine wouldnāt want kids to begin with. This has varying levels of toxicity.
On one hand, heās perfectly happy keeping you to himself. Sure, some kids for the sake of convenience or closeness wouldnāt hurt, but this is fine too. You probably wonāt be able to work through the trauma (if thereās trauma, there doesnāt have to be) that led you to no longer wanting children, as your obsessive doting husband gushes about how glad he is that itās just you and him. Guilt is the name of the game. He wants you to himself. And he sure as hell aināt sharing if he doesnāt have to.
(Hyrule, Four, Courage, Koridai)
And for those who didnāt really want kids to begin with, things are certainly much tamer. You might actually have a chance to work though your trauma (if any). And if, later down the line, you decide that maybe you want kiddos, congratulations, heāll probably do a full 180 on the no kids.
The only real risk with this is that the longer and less careful you are with him, the more likely he is to switch to possessive type. And in THAT case, iām sorry. I truly am. If you confided in him your trauma, that is absolutely ammo. And he will 100% bring up the ādreamā youād built together of growing old just the two of you.
Basically, thereās a chance heāll become the former, just so much worse and so much more overbearing.

How would the yandere chain react to a violinist reader? Who's REALLY amazing at playing, I'm talking lindsey stirling amazing ( if you don't know her, she is an phenomenal violinist, highly recommend listening to her music on YouTube) reader enchanting the chain as they gracefully dance as they beautifully play, maybe fairies, blubees, and wildlife come to watch, perhaps even satori themselves come to see.
Ohhhh! I love the way you think!
TW: Some obsessiveness on the behalf of the chain, as per usual with yandere requests. I am not a violinist, I used to be a cellist. I am unfamiliar with the most of it as that was a while ago.
ā§ļ½„ļ¾: *ā§ļ½„ļ¾:*
You hadnāt fully guessed youād have missed playing your violin so much. At first, you thought this would be a nice break from intense practicing and balancing life with your talents⦠but now you werenāt so sure. Nearly seven hyrules in and youād yet to have found one. But hope was not lost. Falling into Wild pt. 2ās world -Sage for short- was jarring at first, but no changes couldnāt be adapted to. In fact, youād almost forgotten the new world around you when your eyes caught the lacquered wood of a violin. It didnāt take much convincing, surprisingly. One plead was all it took before ten rupee wallets were out of pockets. After the war of who would pay for it, reminiscent on any family gathering, Sage footed the bill. Much begrudgingly of the others.
Outskirt Stable was quite lovely. Quiet and calm with a beautiful mountain in the near distance, it was a perfect rest stop. And also perfect for a chance to play. You were able to convince the chain into letting you practice alone first before playing for all of them, taking quick paces toward Mount Satori. You didnāt notice the sun dip below the horizon as you kept playing onward and onward until your memory of which string was plucked or where your fingers were supposed to press against the neck inevitably ran short. But it happened less than one would expect. The notes rose and dived like a swallow, nimble and fluid. You let the music carry you as your eye fluttered shut and the ballad embraced you. You were reminded of just how much you loved doing this. When the notes slowed and tapered off, hanging in the air and they drifted away, you opened your eyes. Only to be met with many more staring back. Tiny blue bunnies gathered at your feet. Little eyes baring into you as they chittered, almost if in applause or appreciation. They glowed softly, a calming blue which much reminded you of the music youād just played. You lifted your violin back up and they all went quiet again, still gathered at your feet. The next turn you played was slow and steady, swelling softly before fading, only to be met with another rise. Like the soft pink sakura blossoms as they fell off the twisted old tree. You disregarded the strong blue glow behind you, presuming more money bunnies sorry i had to had gathered to see the show. But the nudge between your shoulders alerted you otherwise. You allowed yourself a gasp as you finished playing, turning to greet what stood behind you. Now, seeing the small glowing rabbits, while a little alarming, weāre rather cute and wholesome. But this⦠it was majestic. It held three of the faces from the rabbits, pale and with inquisitive yellow eyes that seemed wiser than any god. But it had the body of a horse, strong and capable. You almost saw it fitting to bow your head to the creature, as it held so much majesty it had to have been of importance. But it instead dipped its head to you, pressing forward so you could place your hand on its mane. It cooed, much like a happy bird, eyes flickering shut. The bunnies chittered among themselves happily. But as lovely as the sight was⦠you knew youād be in deep shit. You were already late.
ā(y/n)?ā You jumped, youāll admit. Hyrule seemed nearly as alarmed, the rabbits scattering as he pronounced himself and the larger of them -their lord, as you bestowed him- took a few steps back.
āIām so sorry I-ā You began your apologies, but were cut short.
āNo need, cāmon, Letās go.ā He nodded in respect to the lord before gesturing for you to follow⦠an odd endearing glint in his eye that lacked to be there before. You turned and left, following Hyrule back to the stable.
What you werenāt aware of, however, was the group watching you play the whole time. Hidden one way or another was the whole chain, utterly spellbound by your performance. Sky itching to play with you and adapt the ballads of his time to your violin. Time reminiscing on his time with the kokiri and their love of music⦠how much they would adore your tunes. Wind wanted to know if you knew any sea shanties. Sage and Wild basked in the music and adored the sight of you and the Lord of Mt. Satori. Legend was jealous of the other rabbits which got to admire you so closely, which held the softness of your attention. It reminded Four of the festivals he used to visit with his grandfather, and Twilight of the ones they held in castle town the ones required he visit. But heād go to all of them if you were there. But Hyrule? He was captivated. Afterall, faeries bless those good with much talents, revelling with only the best of musicians and artists of the mortal realm, for which you would surly qualify. They all had their reasons for loving you, but that was now tenfold. And youād get no rest.
I adore the way you write Yan!Hyrule. The inclusion of his fairy traits are so sweet š
TYSM!!!
I have an obsession with myths, and given that that covered every origin of mythos i catch myself tapping my fingers like a cartoon villain as I write yan!Hyrule with faerie traits. Just wanna give him some silver jewellery and honey.
quick hcs because i have brainrot and iām sick:
Gives you so many gifts so others know youāre not up for grabs
Loves loves loves seeing you in his clothes
Heals you, even if you donāt need it. Time can wait, sure he has a stab wound, but his flower needs healing for their paper cut.
Again, he definitely thinks youāre married to him.
Will enchant your entire wardrobe great fairy style, itās a good excuse for kisses.
Steals all of your green clothing. Burns it. (Fae canāt see people as clearly/at all if they wear green.)
Absolutely adores physical attention.
Will sort through your bags, do all your chores, bless you with good health and fortune and will not accept your thanks.
Itās no secret the Yan!Chain is protective. None at all. But how protective are they each? Well, letās unpack that shall we. (By the way, my memory is worse than Wilds at the rate iām going, so If i forgot one of em just let me know)
Time
8/10 Solid breathing room, enough you can be left alone while he works. Enough you can take a wander around town without telling him first or speak to someone else. But not much beyond that. Not that he doesnāt trust you, but you loose so many people so many times and you tend to make sure that the people who stay round actually, you know, stay around. And, in his eyes, who wouldnāt want you? Youāre so⦠good. Just wholeheartedly good and kind. And with a face like yours, itās no wonder that people would stare, wanting to keep you all to themselves. So itās best he does it first. Especially since he knows you best.
Twilight
10/10 inwardly 9/10 outwardly. Wolves are incredibly, incredibly protective of their chosen mates. Going any length to care for them and ensure their contentment with one another. With that said: congratulations, you are now house spouse. You arenāt leaving Ordon without him in tow. He trusts you just enough to stay at home while he works. But talking with other people read: other men doesnāt go over well. Your friends are his friends, the family you have connections with are his family. Whatās yours is his and whatās his is yours. No one else included. Afterall, thatās the deal with marriage, right?
Hyrule
Probably around a 4 or 5/10. Still absolutely prepared to kick ass and look good doing it in the occasion that you need it, but more forgiving. You can have your own job, friends and life outside of his. But do keep in mind, heās still out of his mind here. Youāre being watched. The faeries are far more subtle than glowing with light when they need to be. Your relationship is more or less built on trust and understanding, so youāll have an easier time bargaining for your freedom. But freedom only goes so far. Heās seen so much of the world that you couldnāt possibly see more. Heās got eyes everywhere. Every glade. Every forest. Every clearing. Every flower and blade of grass if it means he knows here you are.
Legend
6/10, if weāre being safe, but letās be real: 7/10. Feral, will bite a man. He doesnāt restrict you so much, he wouldnāt dare being the cage his dearest wishes to escape from. But your environment? Thatās a free playing field. Anyone who attempts to befriend you is met with his sarcastic rude remarks, any employers turn you down, any freedom beyond him and what he has to offer is not a freedom he trusts. You can be alone⦠ish. Youāre babysat by Ravio. Or maybe your babysitting him⦠weāre getting off topic. Heās as restricting as he can be without being downright abrasive to you. He already knows heās rough around the edges, but as long as you keep believing thereās more to him, heās satisfied.
Four
4/10 (Iām Kidding) Actually: 9/10.
Another house spouse! Between Vio and Blue, you have no reason to be with anyone else. Heās practically four people in one, he can make you anything you want, you man the front of the blacksmiths while heās in the forge -so youāre talking to the customers, clearly not alone- and anything else youād ever need is readily available. Red is less protective and more clingy. Youāre his heart, itās only righteous he wants to keep you safe. Green is the one who borders. Any āfreedomā i.e: talking to customers that you do have is granted by him. And if you do happen to simply sprint off one day, I hope youāre aware the minish are far more capable of finding lost items than one mightāve thought.
Wild
like⦠4/10? Ok ok ok, hear me out. So yes, anything so much as lay a finger on you, theyāre meeting their maker. Yes. Agreed. But also, this man is a goof. Youāre laughing, revelling, travelling, cooking, eating, rough housing, fighting⦠anything the moment calls for. Now yes, your hand is always clasped in his and heād let a man bleed out of all you had was a paper cut, but heās not as bad as the others. This does bump up in cities, heās got an arm around your waist and adamantly refuses conversation with anyone but you, but comparing to the other heroes? Considerably more bearable.
Warriors
Considering this man has lived through a literal war, 8/10. But this is more for who you talk to and who might be of threat to you opposed to what your doing. If you want a job in the castle, fine by him. He already knows everyone there and has the ties to get them out of their jobs immediately if it comes down to it. Want a quiet life where you choose to be a house spouse? 100% fine by him. Heāll bring you flowers, make dinner, run errands, anything youād like. But a life away from him? With the vermin who want nothing more than your downfall? The one exception. There are few people more capable than himself to care for you. And to him that means none. He will love you, because no one else has enough to love you as you require.
Sky
3/10 least, 5/10 most, Heās the most inconsistent. He wants you by his side but understands the surface and his line of work is dangerous. He doesnāt want you alone but thereās few options for friends. He wants to let you see the world and embrace it with open arms, weather it be falling through the sky with the wind whipping past your face or floating through the water, letting your joins rest or napping under a tree with him. He wants for you to have freedom. But with the world he was given, heās afraid itās not a choice.
Wind (platonic or as a crush. Testing to see how this goes because boy oh boy am i scared)
2/10. Granted, heād walk or sail the ends of hyrule if it ment he could do much as hang out with you and he most definitely holds care for your well-being. But with that said, look at me and tell me thereās much critical thinking going on in his head. An argument between him and Vio would be interesting. Iād pay to watch that. Asides, while heās definitely protective so to speak, itās not excessive. And heād be the most willing to let you go if itās what you wanted. But not without letters, and nagging, and being annoying. Because itās you you know he cares
