-every zone is gorjus but my fav zone so far is urqopacha, fav zone music is kozama'uka, and fav towns are in yak tel. theres something really cozy about hroth town and mamook is a beautiful stonework city in a blue magical forest. mamook reminds me of lost city of amdapor but Blue. ive headcanoned yuma's hometown of camoa village to be something similar so maybe i can gpose in mamook instead of queueing into amdapor

-zoraal ja is my failhusband. all he does is scowl and want everyone to die in a big war. talking to everyone in the landsguard hq is kinda funny bc they're all like uhhhhh when's commander zoraal ja coming back. is he even coming back or...???

-as much as i like wuk lamat, i really didnt enjoy the feats so im really excited to travel xak tural with erenville. shaaloani's desert landscape is also gorjus with the graphics update bc before all that sand would just be a badly textured lump (sagolii desert...)

-the fact that ppl in shaaloani have american accents is taking me out LMFAO

-my theory for why erenville has such a strong icelandic accent is bc in addition to taking an eastern viera name, he also copied the eastern viera accent. as for why vieras living in othard have icelandic accents, uh...other than it being a carry over from ff12, maybe viera language is just. icelandic. but in dalmasca.

-ive always thought sharlayan is the scandinavia of etheirys but they're also greek-ish so who even knows at this point.

-in elpis, there's a sidequest where an ancient has a yellowish cactuar called notos 626 and he couldn't think of a suitable name for it. in urqopacha, the same kind of cactuar is all over the place and they're called notocactuar!!! so in the end, i guess he never named it :0

-why are the nopalitenders so fucked up.......estinien likes eating them tho

-the viper quest is rly boring sorry i feel like the danger of the giant monster would've been better if we actually saw it slaughtering more ppl on screen than just hearing them scream off screen and then telling us that it killed so and so here and there.

-krile is SO CUTE in her new little outfit i want to pick her up

-wuk lamat is mucho kawaii and the saddest cutscene in the whole game is when bakool chud chud stomped on her tacos

-the kozoma'uka day theme sounds like something out of pokemon mystery dungeon so it's my fav field theme so far in the whole game. urqopacha is really good too!!! very chill and also pmd-ish (it's the mystery dungeon flutes)

-i can't believe kaveh is the big rainbow bird helping with the float. thats why he hasnt been on a banner for over a year.

-seeing alisaie get excited about finding a water strider is so cute. it's nice to see the twins look at bugs and eat fruits instead of having to work their asses off solving political upheavals. teens should be doing teenly things, such as looking at bugs and eating fruit. like animal crossing.

-living memory made me cry so damn much that music is sad as hell. i can't believe the legendary city of gold was an artificial afterlife that we had to pull the plug on. and then afterwards it's just this ugly gray city with the distorted sad music playing through mall speakers. being there after the msq is extremely uncomfortable.

-im wondering if sphene was deliberately programmed to be hostile and unreceptive to any solution that isn't "sustain the dead by killing and sucking up living aether." because it is possible to actually bring back the dead and sustain them without being a parasitic blight! all the beings in ultima thule are alive because they were brought back by dynamis, and azem's magic resurrected all the scions and briefly emet and hyth. obviously preservation doesnt know about dynamis and they can't use azem's magic, but that doesnt matter because we could have presented these solutions to sphene. but no, sphene straight up refuses to consider any other solution to sustaining living memory that isn't kill everyone on other worlds.

-there's also sphene's tiara being shown ominously after the credits roll. im willing to bet that the new arc villain really was using sphene as a pawn to destroy worlds for some unknown reason.

-re: azem's magic: azem is insanely powerful jesus christ. they're able to call people to their side no matter where they are, even resurrecting the dead in their summoning. and now azem apparently has a key that can open portals to other worlds, even tho azem lived prior to the sundering. why this key went to a bunch of lalas living in aloalo island is a big mystery, and im surprised aloalo was even brought up again. i did all the routes to get the statice mount so i fought the statue of the speaker, but i assumed the aloalo lalafells just sailed away on a boat to la noscea. the fact that they had an artifact azem created to hop to another world is insane.

-cahciua reminds me of venat, so i just feel horribly sad for erenville when he had to say goodbye to her. poor erenville ;-; he lost his home and his mother both. don't worry erenville you can jump right into yuma's loving arms and rest your weary head in her bosom i mean what

-everkeep is a massive eyesore, and im not a fan of solution nine sorry. i don't like glowy rgb cyberpunk aesthetics and purple is my least favorite color, and solution nine is both of that at once lol. radz at han is a way better endgame hub.

-im kinda confused about how interdimensional fusion is working. everkeep still has the endless lightning storms, but the unlost world that living memory is in seems to have a clear sky after we shut down the golden light. is that a real sky, and if so, why isn't it in a perpetual lightning storm too? and if living memory didn't get transported to the source along with the rest of everkeep and only has the gate to it connecting it to the source, then how hasn't it fallen apart the moment everkeep transported??? isn't it the twelfth floor of a giant tower.

-im going to guess that the unlost world is the ninth because of all the ff9 refs. even though the twelfth was already rejoined with a calamity of lightning, there's only six elements (not including light and darkness) and 13 reflections. the ascians are going to have to reuse elements for rejoining eventually, so if things went their way we would have had a second calamity of lightning rejoining the unlost world. electrope not being in the source (or maybe it is and we havent found any yet) sounds like ascian shenanigans too. tip the world strongly towards the element of lighting, then introduce a suspiciously convenient ore that can make use of all the excess lightning, and manipulate nations into destroying each other for it. lindblum's lightning superweapon would be the perfect tool for a rejoining.

-i wonder if there are any reflections that are still relatively okay, but i also wouldnt be surprised if every reflection was left in a horrible state to prime it for rejoining. due to the time discrepancies between shards, i think it'd be cool to find a reflection that didnt even develop civilization yet lol

-i know gulool ja ja's hope is for wuk lamat to learn more about her people and connect with them better, but imo thats not what she needs to grow into the ruler role!!! when wuk lamat had that heart to heart with us and thanked us for helping her change, im like???? huh???? how did you change. she started as a peppy extrovert who is amazing at getting to know people, and she still is! learning about turali cultures is a breeze for her. she's having a ton of fun!! i feel like im chaperoning someone at a summer camp! what she actually needs to work on is the strengths her brothers have. she doesnt seem to have any plan beyond "keep the peace and vibe forever" but she needs the future planning koana is cooking up. and altho she can tank, wuk lamat isn't amazingly strong. she got jumped by rando bandits and broke her axe trying, and failing, to land a blow on bakool ja ja. i guess it's fine if she isn't as strong as her dad since there's lots of leaders who aren't fighters (like minfilia and nanamo), but she should at least implement koana's infrastructure plans if she becomes hokage.

-the maps are beautiful and im having a ton of fun exploring, but holy shit these feats are so boring and repetitive. there has GOT to be a better way to do them than watch a cutscene with machinations playing in the bg and then talking to three people for info. the worst one is the moblin one. there's an entire group of disgruntled artisans that were abused by the moblins, and we don't interact with them at all. instead we just bring some elezen over, and this guy was already looking for a job anyways. wuk lamat could've really flexed her people skills convincing the artisans at cracked cistern to come back to the moblins, and also convince the moblins to treat them better. but no. we listen to machinations play, we talk to three people, bakool ja ja acts like a dick.

-the valigarmanda fight was fun but...that's about it. valigarmanda was a bit of a disappointment. promo materials really hyped it up and we don't see it do anything other than burn a few giants and fly away. i know it's been weakened by being trapped in ice, but if it wrought just a bit more destruction it would've had a bigger impact. actually i thought valigarmanda wasn't just a tural vidraal bc the tail feathers reminded me of jotchua ffxvi, so there was some kind of twist that its actually an eikon or someone transformed or something. but in the end, it was just a giant bird.

-zoraal ja makes no sense to me rn. im predicting that bakool ja ja gets humbled in a major way and drops out of the contest completely, possibly growing out of his assholery in the process, but i do not know what zoraal ja's endgame here is. he wants to be dawnservant and unify the world, but also teach everyone that war sucks. and then when everyone is exhausted, they'll...follow his rule???? maybe im missing something here but how does this even make sense.

-koana's my personal pick for dawnservant. he's the only one with a plan for the future. yes hes a nerd and a weeb for sharlayan and even says "by the twelve" even tho tural clearly doesnt worship them, but he isnt a sociopath or pete from kingdom hearts. he's not as peppy as wuk lamat, but he's open minded enough to understand that there are traditions and cultural values ppl hold onto even if he personally dislikes them. with wuk lamat as cultural ambassador or diplomat or whatever, koana can become a really good ruler and put a high speed rail in tural asap. again, he doesnt need to be ridiculously strong like gulool ja ja to be dawnservant. it would certainly help to be strong, but ultimately unnecessary bc the point is to improve on what tural already has.

-i like that ketenramm has been rebranded to be part of gulool ja ja's party instead of a crazy lominsan explorer who was like a dumb christopher columbus. the eorzea encyclopedia said that he tried to name tural "ketenland" and nobody caught on, and his stories about a "bleedin' city of gold" was dismissed as nonsense. i think it's best to just not have a columbus trope at all, even if the story tries to subvert it by making the columbus character clownish. ketenramm is from limsa but there's no "i discovered this and will name it after me!" thing anymore. or maybe there is and gulool ja ja beat him up for it. i haven't finish yak tel.

-there's an npc in a flashback in the melee role quests who looks like yuma but she's dead so yuma still reigns supreme

-poor erenville can't fight, so he had to sit there and listen to sareel ja say slurs at him for a whole hour

-erenville's pointer finger thing is rly cute!!! him always having his backpack on is also a charm point. im wondering if the whole party just loaded all their luggage onto him.
