     The immediate words--“ Ya- hoo ! “-- were followed only seconds later by a single, gigantic s p l a s h as he jumped from the nearby rocks into the deep, blue water that engulfed him the moment he landed. Any warnings that had been told to him beforehand had been completely forgotten as he rose back up to the surface, mercilessly shaking his head to get rid of any water that might’ve threatened to enter his eyes.

For a moment, it seemed as if Soseki might not have heard of her. His nose was buried between the pages of a book but a second later and he had pressed his thumb to the page, let the cover fall, and looked over.

Maya was holding up an old photo of him. A much younger him. College him, in fact. Back then, he had forgone the stubble in favor of a clean shave. His hair, though still around his shoulders, had been pulled back into a low ponytail. 

:: ♕ :: Himself taking a journey out of Selphia, he ended up in a small village which seemed more...Rustic in comparison to his own. His eyes wandering about the area, it sure was a pretty place too and less ornamental to his own home. It was more of an adventure, that he decided to take alone. Not being sure of what to do while he was there he approached the first person who came by, calling out to ask for some directions or maybe even a tour. 

Very few things could instantaneously wake Soseki up. Late nights meant late mornings and the heavy sleeper often didn’t crawl out of bed until the sun was high in the sky. However, there was no staying awake when a ball of energy jumped on your bed while screaming at the top of her lungs.

Soseki jolted awake, limbs flailing and sending his covers askew. Most likely unknown to Maya, Soseki preferred to sleep in his underwear. In this case, a pair of white boxers. Though still half asleep, he was alert enough to keep the covers over his lower half, if only to preserve a modicum of decency.
