I designed him to be Looker’s polar opposite, so he is kind of seen this way in the canon as well for whoever knows them both. Naturally I don’t think he has a good relationship with interpol at all, despite being married to his work LOL

His superiors DEFINITELY don’t like him, but sort of let him do his thing since he’s capable enough to get the job done. However, the high ranking BIG heroic jobs that are reserved for more reliable agents aren’t passed to him and that pisses him off sooooo bad.

Other agents tend to not mess with him thanks to his reputation. Anabel coldly tolerates him, but I can only imagine they despise each other mutually….Booker is sexist so he has a hard time accepting orders from a woman. Which is awesome for me cuz I get to embarrass him. 😌

I like to imagine as a rookie, him and Looker got along VERY well, kind of goofy office bros (with a comical language barrier) excited about saving lives and stopping criminals! But Booker grew bitter with age and the relationship soured. Booker considers his colleague a buffoon (WHO AINT EVEN -THAT- HANDSOME, A’RIGHT?!!!) and chews drywall whenever the guy gets more and more accolades.

Here HE is…bitchless, and Lookie-Loo is literally having an Alola vacation with the chief!!!! It’s not fair I tells ya! It’s just NAHT FAIR!

…I also like to imagine the two have probably tussled a few times, perhaps while drunk, and/or because someone let an inappropriate comment slip about the chief.🤨

Our campaign story takes place past gen 7-8 so Looker and Anabel are (headcanon territory) in the hopes of retiring while Booker is still knee deep in solving cases. A much more relaxed Looker, who would like to reconcile, tries to remind his old friend that there is more to life than work, but the advice is rarely received well. 😔
