So. Hey. Yeah. | closed rp
At this exact moment, Lev deeply regretted not asking Kuroo-senpai or anyone else for advice. They were senpais for a reason, and knowing their shady night lives, they probably had countless of gems to share with the younger middle blocker. The tall boy decided that his pride was more important than help and set out on his own to fulfill the mission he had selected for himself.
To flirt with that really, really small manager girl.
It was difficult to even manage making his way to her direction; he felt like a serious creep, and he probably smelled bad. (He made a mental note to himself that showers were a must after practice, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.) Was it too late to go back? Maybe he could find a way to sneak in a quick shower, or drown himself in Kuroo-senpai's axe stuff - chicks digged that, right? Okay, okay - it was decided. He would simply make his way back to the showers and -
Oh no. Oh noooooo.
He buried his own grave, he did the unspeakable, he ruined all of his chances of even getting her number - he made eye contact with her. Lev had the nagging feeling that he couldn't simply walk away after committing such a brazen action... could he? No, it'd be too weird, and he didn't want to make things worse. Hm. Was he suppose to maintain eye contact with her as he made his way over or...? Maybe he could just casually wave in her direction, and if she waved back he would -
Oops. Raising his right hand, he knocked over a few mops that were once resting against the wall. Without a sign of hesitation, Lev bent over to pile them together. Dear God, was talking to girls seriously this hard? Like, what? His thoughts stopped abruptly once he heard small, gentle footsteps that were heading in his direction; it was most likely his crazed imagination, but he didn't want to risk looking like a nerd in front of a cute girl.
He shot up from the ground and let the mops that were once in his hand drop to the ground with a 'thud'. Maybe it was best that he didn't pick them up... but wouldn't that be disrespectful? That'd make him a rebel, right? Girls probably liked rebels. Probably. (That was his earnest train of thought that convinced him to leave the mops on the ground.)
It was now or never, and, to be frank, never sounding quite appealing at this time. With a hitched breath, Lev continued to make his way to the small girl. He could do this, he could do this, he could.... Oh God, he couldn't do this, this was too much, this was too weird, ugh.
"Hey, I, I couldn't help but hear all the commotion," Lev made a jerky hand gesture in the direction of the fallen mops. "I just came to check to see if everything was okay. So. Hey. Yeah. I mean, you're really tiny and short, and, like, I was checking to see that you weren't hurt." So? Hey? Yeah? "My name is Haiba Lev!" He shut his mouth after practically screaming his introduction, and cursed every smooth-talking guy like Kuroo-senpai.
He was so caught up in the moment that he failed to realize his harmless excuse of talking to her made no sense, considering that he was the cause of the 'commotion', and that little accident didn't happen until he was already in the same room as her.
