⚡️Q: Stand-alones? Yay or Nay? ⚡️

A: I’m someone that wants to be immersed in an amazing world for a while. I’d like to see the characters journey and growth.

Not saying you can’t get this with a stand-alone but it makes me sad and wanting more!

Lore was that for me. I enjoyed this book immensely! I really loved all the characters, their story, their love for one another and how gruesome this world was.

I feel like I need more but alas this did end with a closed ending. Which was funny because I didn’t sign up for a stand alone I could have sworn Lore would be a series 🤡

I just loved Lore, Castor & Miles I wanted to see more of them.

There are so many books I am looking forwards to this month!  

I’ve got a buddy read I am doing and a couple of my biggest anticipations come out this month. 

But what I’m really excited for is my May TBR. My friend will be free so we’ve decided to buddy read the whole month. I hope we got this 🤞🏽 

For May, we’re anticipating to read Spin The Dawn! Have you read it? It’s a Mulan meets fashion runway tale and I’ve heard so many great things! 

QOTD: What’s your favorite trope in the genre you enjoy?  

I have many favorite tropes when it comes to romance: 

Enemies to lovers 

Guard x Person who needs to be protected  

Fake Dating 

Arranged Marriage  

Are there any that I’ve forgotten? Please let me know! I’m always up for finding new tropes!  

With that being said I’m so thrilled to start Cast in Firelight as it has the whole arrange marriage trope and also the fact that the two characters don’t like each other is the cherry on top. 

But the fact that both MC start working with each other without knowing their real identities is making me want to pick this one up next!  

What’s a book or series you hear great things about but have yet started? 

Mine would be the Air Awakens series which I just purchased the hardcovers so I could get motivated to pick them up. I’ll definitely start the first book soon. 

Reading update: I started ‘Crown of One Hundred Kingdoms’ and I’m only 5 chapters in & I’m pleasantly surprised that I’m already finding it enjoyable.

¿QOTD? What’s a book you’re looking forward to reading this holiday season?   

A: I wish I could say Clockwork Anger but I STILL do not have the courage to read this trilogy just yet.  

I’m kind of looking forwards to Jingle Wars by R. Holmes. I need some holiday rom-coms in my life right now.     

  In other news: 

It has been a stressful week!   

I’ve got no reading done.    

But in the end we did it!    

We DID IT!💙💙💙💙   

Although we voted him out we still have a lot of work to do!!!
