This is what I shall be creating all my LF2 data with in the future.
The first version is limited to visualizing frame data and dragging around the object with your mouse, holding ctrl, to change centerx and centery (+shift locks horizontal/vertical axes). For everything else you will still have to stick to the (amazing) text box I used.
Hope to control every frame element visually in the future.
Julio+
So I've given Julio a little update to make him available as a fully playable standalone character. Get him in the files section.
Some info on why I haven't done this before and why I did it now:
Julio was somewhat of a test and 'quick' content for a boss mode where instead of traditional stages the player would face more elaborate boss scenarios. Julio was the first boss and I tried to see how complex and interesting I can make an opponent with only a few actions. He ended up as two characters inside one character file. The armored version is the character holding his armor as a heavy weapon and once the armor breaks he starts using his normal movement frames. To get this working within one file I had to split a few things such as limiting normal jumps to the armored and dashing to the unarmored state. I never intended this result to be controlled by the player as it is rather restricted compared to normal fighters. Also starting with the armor never properly worked out from that single file, so he only ever spawned with it in the boss/stage mode as your opponent. It was either being able to (re)spawn armor as often as you like or never at all.
However playing the armored version has probably been the most requested feature on anything I have ever released and telling everyone to edit his file to unlock that feature is not a good solution. I already had some half finished updates for him (running teleport and breathing animation) so I now dropped the act of never granting him two character files, thus you can now directly pick the armored (and uncorrupted: traditional red/purple energy instead of green/cyan) version from the character selection. I've been working on more new features with some of them being included in an inactive state for anyone who wants to snoop around a little. But this will be it on Julio for a while.
Y2F v5 delay
So, version 5 will be delayed. There is quite a bit of work on it left to do, I am ill and have a lot of other things to take care of.
