I’ve been told in the past that the slang exclamation “yas” is a very NorCal thing to say, but that’s exactly what wants to burst from my mouth when I encounter fine new music from Y.A.S.... Tell me you don’t feel the same as the London based Scottish talent scintillates our ears with spicy, sultry electronica and effervescent R&B pop on opulent new song 100 Years, a restless moving, tempestuous smoldering song that captures that feeling of having your mind spiral out of control as you start overthinking everything. We’ve all lost ourselves in the dark chasms of our minds before, where we toss and turn, unable to find peace. We end up feeling like we’ve “lived 100 years”, something I wouldn’t mind if we have Y.A.S. and her soulful smoldering music winding its way through our ears, urging our body to move. I’m sure many of you recognize London based Scottish pop artist Y.A.S. from the many features she’s had on tracks from the likes of TroyBoi, T-Mass, Tails & TWERL, and DEVI, but today we relish in spellbinding magnetism by diving into her sultry solo debut, Chasing The Dragon.
