my takeaway: a) possibly the new scanra-tortall border as of page - also featured in lady knight - is the official border with scanra, retconning old border. it just doesn’t make sense to me that in between the events of first test and page the scanran border changed - or even, really, between the immortals and pots because i think it would’ve been clearer if the mindelans’ rise to nobility had been within-the-last-few-years recent. plus, the scanran border keeps that configuration in the beka books. b) i think frasrlund must be where the vassa empties into the emerald ocean. i mean i always sort of placed it there, but this is near-confirmation, no?
